Collaboration and Real-World Testing

Norma’s progress wouldn’t have been possible without collaboration. They partnered with Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong to test their quantum AI algorithms in real-world scenarios. This joint effort aimed to find new drug candidates more efficiently, using Norma’s cutting-edge technology and NVIDIA’s powerful H200 and GH200 GPUs. These high-performance tools allowed Norma to simulate and evaluate their algorithms in a realistic environment, providing valuable insights into their practical use.

The results were impressive. CUDA-Q-based methods outperformed traditional CPU-based approaches by a large margin. For example, forward propagation tasks ran roughly 60 to 73 times faster, and backward propagation was about 34 to 42 times quicker. These speed improvements mean researchers can test more hypotheses in less time, accelerating the entire drug discovery process. It’s a clear sign that quantum AI has the potential to transform medicine and beyond.

This achievement not only highlights Norma’s technological prowess but also signals a shift toward broader adoption of quantum AI across industries. By enabling faster, more realistic testing of algorithms before deploying them on actual quantum hardware, Norma reduces development costs and shortens timelines. As Hyunchul Jung explains, this opens doors for applications in biotech, defense, finance, and other sectors, paving the way for innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges.
