NeuBird AI Secures $19.3M to Expand AI Ops Platform
NeuBird AI has completed a $19.3 million funding round, which was oversubscribed. The round was led by Xora Innovation, with participation from Mayfield, StepStone Group, Prosperity7 Ventures, and M12, Microsoft’s venture fund. Investors see autonomous AI agents as the next big step for enterprise IT. The new funds will help NeuBird accelerate product development, expand globally, and reach more DevOps, SRE, and IT teams managing complex multi-cloud setups.
Addressing the Burden on Engineering Teams
According to NeuBird AI’s recent report on production reliability and AI adoption, engineers spend about 40% of their time handling incidents instead of building new features. Nearly 80% of companies say that up to half of their on-call engineers experience burnout related to incident response. Current tools still require manual work for correlating data, investigating issues, and fixing problems — a process that doesn’t scale well as systems grow more complex.
Gou Rao, CEO and co-founder of NeuBird AI, explains that IT, SRE, and DevOps teams face mounting pressure to keep systems running smoothly, reduce alert fatigue, and speed up innovation. This often results in slower progress and skilled engineers losing time troubleshooting instead of creating new solutions.
How NeuBird AI’s Technology Makes a Difference
NeuBird AI’s production operations agent tackles this challenge head-on. It analyzes signals from various telemetry sources, correlates data points, and provides real-time root cause analysis and remediation. This means problems are often resolved without waiting for an engineer to step in. Since its general availability launched in December 2024, customers have addressed over one million alerts, saving more than $2 million in engineering hours and reducing the average time to resolve issues by up to 90%.
The company plans to use the new funding to get its agent into more enterprise environments quickly. They are also launching NeuBird AI Falcon, a next-generation engine that powers the platform. Falcon extends beyond incident resolution into predictive risk detection and infrastructure cost management, helping companies prevent problems before they happen and optimize their cloud spending.
Vinod Jayaraman, co-founder and CTO, highlights that engineers spend most of their time reacting to issues rather than building. He says NeuBird AI aims to shift this dynamic, enabling teams to prevent problems before they escalate. This proactive approach is seen as essential for the future of enterprise IT operations.
About NeuBird AI and Leadership
NeuBird AI was founded by Gou Rao and Vinod Jayaraman, both experienced in building and scaling enterprise infrastructure companies. The company’s goal is to replace manual, reactive workflows with an always-on AI agent that continuously learns and applies domain expertise. This helps keep production systems stable and minimizes downtime.
Recently, NeuBird AI appointed Venkat Ramakrishnan as President and COO. Ramakrishnan has a track record of scaling tech companies and previously helped grow Portworx. His leadership is expected to support NeuBird AI’s growth and product expansion into more enterprise markets.
Overall, NeuBird AI’s latest funding underscores strong investor confidence in AI-driven operations tools. With its innovative platform and strategic leadership, the company is poised to reshape how enterprises manage their IT environments, reduce manual work, and stay ahead of potential disruptions.
