Advocacy, an AI platform built for litigation teams, has raised $3.5 million in seed funding as it exits stealth development. The round was led by Relentless, with participation from Relativity through Relativity Labs and the Am Law 100 firm Fenwick & West LLP.

The investment also included backing from prominent legal scholars from Top 14 law schools and a group of partners spanning large law firms and specialized litigation boutiques. The funding comes as interest grows among litigation teams looking for AI tools that go beyond basic drafting or document review.

A Different Approach to Legal AI

Many legal AI products focus on assisting with isolated tasks such as document review or research. Advocacy’s platform is designed around a broader idea: creating a persistent memory layer that tracks the full context of a legal case.

Demand for this type of system has grown among both plaintiff and defense firms, including litigation boutiques and large Am Law 100 and 200 practices. After a period of development with a small group of legal professionals, the company now reports that the platform is already being used by paying clients while additional pilots are underway with major firms.

“AI can assist with discrete tasks, but litigation demands continuity and context. Litigation teams need more than standalone tools. They need memory-driven infrastructure that understands their case as deeply as they do. We’ve proven this model in the trenches with some of the best litigators in the country, and this funding allows us to scale that capability to the broader market.”

Téo Doremus, CEO and co-founder of Advocacy.

Turning Case Knowledge Into Structured Intelligence

Traditionally, the information behind a legal case is scattered across different systems. Evidence may sit in e discovery platforms, research databases, internal notes, or in the memory of attorneys themselves. Advocacy’s platform aims to bring that information together inside a unified case environment.

The system captures case facts and context, then connects them to research, drafting, analysis, and legal strategy across the lifecycle of litigation. Instead of relying primarily on keyword search, the platform organizes information through what the company describes as context orchestration. The goal is to help legal teams access relevant case intelligence quickly while keeping every document and workflow tied to the same evolving record.

“In litigation, an AI hallucination is a career ender. That’s why the hype cycle tools are failing while Advocacy is winning. They have solved the accuracy gap and earned the trust of the nation’s top trial lawyers by delivering the only thing that matters: flawless context. We couldn’t be more excited to provide them with capital and support to onboard a long line of litigators that are waiting to get on the product.”

Damir Becirovic, founding partner at Relentless.

Scaling Product Development and Legal Expertise

With the new funding, Advocacy plans to expand its engineering and product teams while continuing its partnership with Relativity. The company also intends to grow its operational staff to support a rising number of users.

Part of that expansion will include hiring legal alignment specialists who work directly with litigation practice groups. Their role is to ensure the AI system adapts to the specific workflows and reasoning patterns used in complex litigation.

Advocacy says its latest platform release extends its proprietary case memory layer across additional forms of evidence, including raw audio and video material. Once ingested, these materials are mapped into the broader case timeline so teams can connect them with documents, filings, and strategic analysis.

Emerging Player in Legal Technology

Advocacy was founded by experienced litigators who wanted to address a common frustration in legal work: the fragmentation of case knowledge across tools and teams.

By building a context centered litigation workspace, the company aims to provide attorneys with a single operational environment where research, drafting, and evidence analysis remain connected to the same evolving case record.

The company is currently expanding its presence within the legal technology ecosystem. Advocacy will attend Legalweek New York from March 9 to March 12, 2026, where the team plans to meet with firm leaders evaluating AI adoption. The company was also recently named a finalist for the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards in the Litigation Technology category.
