NeuBird AI Closes $19.3M Round Led by Xora Innovation
NeuBird AI has closed a $19.3 million oversubscribed funding round led by Xora Innovation, with participation from Mayfield, StepStone Group, Prosperity7 Ventures and M12, Microsoft’s venture fund. The round reflects growing investor conviction that autonomous AI agents are the next frontier in enterprise IT infrastructure.
The new capital will fuel product development, global go-to-market expansion, and broader access for DevOps, SRE and IT operations teams managing complex, multi-cloud environments.
The Weight of Firefighting on Engineering Teams
According to NeuBird AI’s 2026 State of Production Reliability and AI Adoption Report, engineers spend an average of 40% of their time managing incidents rather than building. Nearly 80% of companies report that up to half of their on-call engineers show signs of incident-related burnout. The tools most teams rely on still require manual correlation, investigation and remediation — a process that does not scale.
“Enterprise IT, SRE and DevOps teams are under mounting pressure to maintain uptime, simplify incident management and innovate faster. The result is alert fatigue, slower innovation and a disproportionate amount of skilled engineering time lost to troubleshooting.”
Gou Rao, Co-founder and CEO of NeuBird AI
NeuBird AI’s production ops agent addresses this directly. It reasons across telemetry sources, correlates signals, and delivers root cause analysis and remediation in real time — without waiting for an engineer to step in. Since its general availability launch in December 2024, customers have resolved over one million alerts, saved more than $2 million in engineering hours, and achieved up to a 90% reduction in mean time to resolution.
What the New Capital Will Build
The funding will push NeuBird AI’s agent into more enterprise environments faster, reducing onboarding friction across DevOps, SRE and IT functions. Alongside that, the company is launching NeuBird AI Falcon — the next-generation engine powering its agent — which extends the platform beyond incident resolution into predictive risk detection and infrastructure cost optimization.
“Every engineer we’ve talked to describes the same problem: they spend the majority of their time responding to incidents rather than building. We’re moving into a world where engineering teams need to prevent IT operations issues before they escalate, and NeuBird AI is how enterprises get there.”
Vinod Jayaraman, Co-founder and CTO of NeuBird AI
About NeuBird AI
NeuBird AI was co-founded by Gou Rao and Vinod Jayaraman, both of whom previously built and scaled enterprise infrastructure companies. The company was designed from the start to replace reactive, manual operations workflows with an always-on agent that applies continuous learning and domain expertise to keep production systems stable.
The company recently appointed Venkat Ramakrishnan as President and COO. Ramakrishnan helped scale Portworx from Series A through its acquisition, bringing direct experience in accelerating growth at enterprise infrastructure companies. NeuBird AI has also earned the AWS Generative AI Competency, was selected for the AWS Generative AI Accelerator, and joined the Microsoft for Startups Pegasus Program — giving it preferred access to Azure and AWS enterprise customer networks as it scales globally.
The Investors Behind the Round
Xora Innovation, a venture firm focused on applied AI for enterprise infrastructure, led the round. Managing Partner Phil Inagaki noted that NeuBird’s agent has delivered measurable results across accuracy, speed and token efficiency in complex enterprise environments — and that the founding team’s track record of building and scaling three infrastructure companies previously was a key factor in Xora’s conviction.
Mayfield backed NeuBird AI from inception. The firm, which has a long history of investing in enterprise infrastructure and cloud-native companies, sees the production operations agent category as one of the defining opportunities in applied AI. StepStone Group, a global alternatives investment firm with a broad enterprise technology portfolio, pointed to the team’s execution in year one as the basis for continued support.
Prosperity7 Ventures, the venture arm of Saudi Aramco focused on next-generation technology, emphasized the platform’s depth in helping SRE, DevOps and platform engineering teams reclaim time from troubleshooting. M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, highlighted how NeuBird AI’s close alignment with Azure and AWS infrastructure positions the company well for enterprise distribution at scale.
