SRE.ai has raised a $7.2 million seed round led by Salesforce Ventures and Crane Venture Partners to build an AI-first DevOps layer for modern enterprise stacks. The company, founded by former Google DeepMind engineers and experienced operators, is targeting complex, business-critical platforms that have outgrown traditional software delivery tools.

The round adds fuel to SRE.ai’s plan to launch broadly after early deployments with select enterprise customers.

Why enterprise DevOps needs a rethink

Low-code and no-code platforms now sit at the center of many IT strategies—IDC notes that 80% of IT organizations use low-code tools to scale innovation beyond centralized teams. Yet these applications often become mission-critical without the guardrails of traditional engineering processes, leaving enterprises with fragile, undocumented, and hard-to-govern systems.

“DevOps in today’s enterprise is more than just supporting traditional software development – it’s the critical requirement for every class of business application. Many mission critical business applications today were never designed for the scale, complexity, or speed of AI. We’re fixing that.”

An AI “translation layer” for Salesforce and beyond

SRE.ai positions its platform as an intelligent control and automation layer that understands context, manages complexity, and takes action across fragmented systems. It aims to simplify release cycles, prevent overlapping workflows across business units, and increase confidence in changes moving to production.

“Enterprise DevOps today is stuck stitching together tools, processes, and tribal knowledge. We’re giving companies a smarter way to operate—one where AI remembers, orchestrates, and helps teams scale without chaos.”

Co-founder and CTO Edward Aryee

What the funding will support

Near-term, the company is expanding its engineering team and deepening work with design-partner customers ahead of a wider launch. The initial focus is Salesforce, where teams often manage complex change across orgs, integrations, and compliance requirements.

Beyond Salesforce, SRE.ai plans to extend its AI-native control plane to other enterprise systems such as Workday and ServiceNow—platforms that face similar complexity, risk, and governance challenges.

A founding team built for systems at scale

SRE.ai’s team includes alumni from Google DeepMind and other Google initiatives such as Google Translate, bringing experience building rigorous, resilient AI systems. The founders say they’re applying those lessons to enterprise DevOps—treating business platforms as first-class software environments rather than exceptions to the rule.

“SRE.ai is redefining what great looks like in enterprise software,” said Max Chapman, Principal, Crane Venture Partners. “At Crane, we look for founders building foundational technologies that bring clarity to complexity. Edward and Raj are doing exactly that, delivering contextual intelligence and building the control plane for a critical but long-overlooked layer of the modern enterprise stack—all while showing real empathy for the humans in the loop.”

Backers and early traction

Investors say the company is addressing a timely need as enterprises modernize operations around AI-driven work. “SRE is unlocking a better future around DevOps innovation, and we’re excited to support a company that leverages AI to empower teams, keeping the user experience at the center of innovation,” said Dom Pusateri, Investor, Salesforce Ventures. “By simplifying business-critical development environments, SRE empowers every enterprise stakeholder – from admins to architects – to move faster, collaborate better, and focus on what matters most.”

The round was led by Salesforce Ventures and Crane Venture Partners, with participation from Y Combinator and angel investors. The company has begun working with early users and is preparing for a broader rollout.
