At CES 2026, PaXini impressed visitors with a live demonstration of robotic tactile interaction at the ENTERPRISE AI Zone. The event featured a humanoid robot named TORA-ONE, which performed a full ice-cream making process. From manipulating levers and handling ingredients to handing over cups, the robot showcased its ability to carry out complex, autonomous tasks. Advanced Tactile Perception Powers Robot Dexterity

Central to the robot’s capabilities is PaXini’s full-body 6-axis force/torque sensing ecosystem. This system enables robots to perceive forces and textures with high precision across their entire body. The PX-6AX-GEN3 tactile sensors are key, offering 12 different models across three product lines. They deliver less than 0.5% full-scale repeatability and can measure 15 different sensing dimensions, including force, material texture, and elastic response.

PaXini also showcased its Hall-effect force/torque sensors, such as the PX6D and PXTS, which are the first commercial sensors of their kind. These ultra-lightweight sensors combine high performance with smart on-sensor processing. They allow robots to sense forces accurately at the wrist and joints, enabling more precise and stable force control during manipulation. This integration of tactile feedback and force sensing marks a significant step toward more human-like robot interaction and handling capabilities.

From Sensing to Action with Tactile Dexterous Hands

To translate perception into action, PaXini introduced the DexH13 tactile hand. This robotic hand is equipped with 1,140 tactile processing units, allowing it to mimic a wide range of human hand gestures. It demonstrated stable grasping of irregular objects like test tubes and cubes, as well as performing delicate tasks such as turning knobs. This level of dexterity is a big leap for robots in industrial and service settings.

The tactile hand’s ability to handle various objects smoothly shows how tactile sensing and precise control work together. It can adapt to different shapes and textures, reducing the risk of dropping or damaging items. This technology opens up new possibilities for robots to perform complex tasks in manufacturing, healthcare, and customer service, making interactions safer and more efficient.

PaXini’s work doesn’t stop at individual components. The company’s humanoid robots combine these advanced sensors and dexterous hands to create more capable, general-purpose machines. During CES, TORA-ONE demonstrated human-like manipulation skills, including receiving cups, dispensing items, and placing wafers. TORA-DOUBLE ONE showed even more advanced motion control, crossing obstacles and engaging with visitors through handshakes. These robots highlight how tactile feedback is integrated into motion planning for smooth, natural interactions.

One of the standout features at the event was PaXini’s omni-modality data acquisition system, which acts as the “fuel” for embodied AI. It captures a comprehensive set of tactile, force, and motion data, enabling robots to learn, adapt, and perform tasks with human-like finesse.
