Xoople, a data infrastructure company developing what it describes as a global system of record for physical change on Earth, has closed a $130M Series B round. The raise brings its total funding to $225M and makes it the top-funded company in the emerging physical-world intelligence category. The company is entering its commercialization phase this quarter, following seven years of development in stealth.

The round was backed by Nazca Capital, MCH, the Government of Spain through CDTI, Buenavista Equity Partners, and Endeavor Catalyst.

From Digital Records to the Physical World

Every major computing era has been defined by a dominant system of record. CRMs organized customer data. Cloud platforms stored software and business logic. Xoople is making the case that AI’s defining data layer will be the physical world itself.

“Every major computing era creates a new system of record; those that define that system become the economic centers of that era. CRMs gave companies a system of record for customers. Cloud platforms create systems of record for software and data. We are building the system of record for the physical world in the AI era with Xoople. After seven years developing our system in stealth, we are incredibly excited to begin commercialization in Q2 and start scaling up that capability in the market.”

Fabrizio Pirondini, CEO of Xoople

The argument behind the company rests on a structural shift in how AI is being used. As AI systems move beyond analysis toward autonomous decision-making through agentic workflows, they increasingly need accurate, real-time data about what is actually happening on the ground. Supply chain managers, insurers, agricultural planners, infrastructure teams, and geopolitical analysts all share a common requirement: reliable intelligence about the physical world, delivered fast and at scale.

What the Funds Will Power

Xoople’s capital will support full commercialization of its platform beginning in Q2 2025. The company’s infrastructure is built around a proprietary, vertically integrated stack, including satellites capable of generating precise, scientific-grade datasets. The goal is to expand enterprise access to physical-world intelligence in a form that AI systems can readily ingest.

Xoople is also scaling its integration partnerships with leading cloud, data, and geospatial platforms. The company says this approach allows organizations to connect Xoople’s Earth data layer directly to tools they already use, without building custom infrastructure. Use cases in current development include supply chain optimization, agricultural forecasting, insurance risk modeling, urban planning, disaster response, and scenario planning.

Seven Years in Stealth

Founded in 2019 in Spain by leaders from the space, geospatial, AI, and data sectors, Xoople spent its first seven years building its system without public-facing commercialization. The stealth period was used to develop the full end-to-end stack and establish strategic partnerships. During this time, the company worked with private preview customers that include government agencies and Fortune 500 companies.

What sets Xoople apart from conventional geospatial data providers is its positioning as infrastructure rather than a standalone data product. The company describes its offering as “Earth’s System of Record,” a continuously measured data layer that bridges digital systems and physical reality. This framing positions Xoople closer to foundational cloud platforms than to traditional satellite imagery vendors.

Backing from Europe and Beyond

The Series B was supported by a mix of venture capital, institutional, and government investors. Nazca Capital, MCH, Buenavista Equity Partners, and Endeavor Catalyst participated in the round alongside the Spanish government’s innovation arm, CDTI. The inclusion of CDTI reflects growing government interest in sovereign access to physical-world data infrastructure.

With $225M raised in total, Xoople now holds the largest funding base in its category. The company enters commercialization as both enterprise demand for AI-ready data and interest in proprietary, non-replicable datasets continues to grow.
