Chapter Raises $100M Series E for Medicare AI
Chapter, a Medicare navigation platform built around AI-driven advice, has raised $100 million in a Series E funding round. Generation Investment Management led the round, with new investors Fifth Down Capital and 8VC joining alongside existing backers Stripes, XYZ Venture Capital, Addition, Narya Capital, Susa Ventures, and Maverick Ventures. The company says its valuation has more than doubled since its previous round, which closed less than a year ago.
The sheer size and speed of this raise signals something. In a category crowded with insurance marketplaces and broker platforms, Chapter has attracted institutional-grade attention by focusing on a problem most tech companies have long ignored: helping older Americans make sense of Medicare.
Why Medicare Navigation Is Still Broken
Medicare is not a single plan. It is a web of coverage options, provider networks, prescription lists, and supplemental policies that changes every year. For a retiree without specialized knowledge, selecting the wrong plan can mean paying thousands more or losing access to a preferred doctor. Most platforms either sell specific plans or offer generic information. Chapter does neither.
“Most technology companies ignore retirees. Our mission is to ensure every senior is able to preserve their health, wealth, and purpose by building products that we wish our own parents had at the outset of retirement.”
Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, CEO and Co-Founder of Chapter
Chapter claims to be the only company that reviews every Medicare plan nationwide, offering guidance that is not tied to any carrier or commission structure.
Where the $100 Million Goes
Chapter plans to use the capital to accelerate growth and expand beyond Medicare into broader financial products for retirees. The company already launched what it describes as the most accurate provider directory and prescription cost calculator for Medicare in the country. The next phase will focus on helping seniors reduce spending across all their costs, not only healthcare coverage.
The expansion strategy reflects a clear ambition: become the financial operating system for American retirement. Chapter is positioning itself as the starting point for decisions that affect both health and money, at a life stage when those two things become deeply intertwined.
A Platform Built on Data and Licensed Advisors
Chapter was founded by Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, who serves as CEO, and operates from a model that pairs AI with human expertise. The platform gives licensed advisors access to a comprehensive data layer, allowing them to deliver personalized recommendations at scale. Seniors can also use the platform directly to compare plans and understand their existing benefits.
The company partners with organizations nationwide that serve older populations, acting as a concierge resource for members navigating one of the most consequential decisions in retirement.
In 2025, Chapter grew revenue 3x and surpassed $100 million in ARR, placing it among the fastest-growing companies in the United States that year. Despite that growth, corporate headcount remained flat year over year, suggesting strong unit economics and operational efficiency. More information on the platform is available at askchapter.org.
The Investors Backing the Bet on Retirement Tech
Generation Investment Management, which led the round, is a London-headquartered sustainable investment partnership founded in 2004. The firm has built a reputation for long-horizon bets on companies with structural societal relevance.
“Cobi and his team have earned the trust of American seniors by building a data and AI platform that provides accurate information and impartial advice in an industry largely devoid of either. As our society is gradually transformed by artificial intelligence, Chapter is uniquely positioned to ensure that advances in technology serve the needs of seniors.”
Anthony Woolf, Partner at Generation Investment Management
The participation of Fifth Down Capital, 8VC, and a strong cohort of returning investors including Stripes, XYZ Venture Capital, Addition, Narya Capital, Susa Ventures, and Maverick Ventures reflects sustained conviction in the thesis. The Series E follows a rapid valuation increase and positions Chapter with the capital to scale both its technology and its advisor network into new markets.
