Medicare Navigation Platform Secures $100 Million in Funding
Chapter, a platform that helps seniors navigate Medicare using AI, has raised $100 million in a Series E funding round. The investment was led by Generation Investment Management, with new investors Fifth Down Capital and 8VC joining existing backers like Stripes, XYZ Venture Capital, Addition, Narya Capital, Susa Ventures, and Maverick Ventures. The company says its valuation has more than doubled in less than a year, highlighting strong investor confidence.
Why Chapter Stands Out in a Crowded Market
In a market full of insurance marketplaces and broker platforms, Chapter has gained attention by focusing on a problem most tech companies overlook: helping older Americans understand and choose the right Medicare plans. Medicare is complex—it’s not just one plan but a web of coverage options, provider networks, prescription drug lists, and supplemental policies that change annually. For retirees without specialized knowledge, picking the wrong plan can mean thousands of dollars in extra costs or losing access to preferred doctors.
Unlike many platforms that promote specific plans or provide generic information, Chapter takes a different approach. The company claims to be the only one reviewing every Medicare plan nationwide without being tied to any carrier or sales commissions. Its mission is to help seniors make smarter decisions, ensuring they preserve their health, wealth, and purpose as they retire.
How the Funds Will Be Used and Future Plans
The new funding will fuel Chapter’s growth and help expand beyond Medicare into broader financial products for retirees. The company has already launched what it calls the most accurate provider directory and prescription cost calculator for Medicare in the U.S. Moving forward, Chapter aims to help seniors cut costs across all areas—not just healthcare. This reflects a bigger goal: to become the central financial operating system for American retirement.
Chapter wants to be the starting point for decisions that impact both health and money at a life stage when those two are closely linked. Its vision is to create a comprehensive platform that guides seniors through their financial and healthcare choices, simplifying what can be an overwhelming process.
Technology Meets Human Expertise
Founded by Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, who serves as CEO, Chapter blends AI technology with human advice. The platform provides licensed advisors with access to a rich data layer, enabling personalized recommendations at scale. Seniors can also use the platform directly to compare plans and understand their current benefits without needing an intermediary.
The company partners with organizations across the country that serve older adults. These partnerships position Chapter as a concierge resource, helping members navigate one of the most important and complex decisions in retirement. In 2025, Chapter tripled its revenue and surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue, signaling strong growth and market validation.
Overall, Chapter’s approach aims to address a critical gap in the retirement planning space, making healthcare and financial decisions less daunting for seniors and their families alike.
