Eight Sleep has raised $100 million in a new funding round to accelerate its mission of transforming the bed into an intelligent, health-optimizing device. The round includes participation from HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, and a few notable names in motorsports—Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc and McLaren F1 CEO Zak Brown.

This latest investment comes on the heels of Eight Sleep surpassing $500 million in Pod sales and growing revenue tenfold since launching the product. The company now has customers in over 30 countries and has tracked more than 1 billion hours of sleep data, reinforcing the growing demand for science-backed sleep technology.

Bringing Intelligence to the Sleep Tech Industry

Sleep technology has seen rising interest in recent years as consumers increasingly prioritize rest and recovery. Eight Sleep sits at the intersection of AI, hardware, software, and wellness supplements, offering what it describes as a full-stack approach to sleep optimization.

“Eight Sleep has developed a turn-key solution for sleep and health optimization: hardware, software, AI, and consumer goods that dynamically adjust around each person’s needs.”

Matteo Franceschetti, Co‑Founder and CEO

The company’s next major push is the development of the Sleep Agent, an AI-driven system designed to interpret biometric data, simulate thousands of digital twins per user, and make nightly adjustments to improve recovery.

Investing in AI, Health Applications, and Real-Time Personalization

A portion of the funding will go toward developing this next-gen AI system. Unlike existing tools that track sleep passively, the Sleep Agent uses predictive modeling to simulate how a user’s body responds to various environmental and behavioral changes—then acts in real time. This includes adjustments to temperature, bed elevation, and even bedtime routines.

“We’re creating digital twins of your sleep physiology to simulate, test, and personalize your recovery before you even close your eyes. This is the next frontier: AI that doesn’t just track you, it understands and adapts to you in real time.”

Matteo Franceschetti

The new Sleep Agent builds on the company’s existing Autopilot feature, which already performs millions of micro-adjustments each night based on behavioral and biofeedback data.

Moving Into Medical Sleep Solutions

Eight Sleep is also using the new capital to expand into the medical space, starting with AI-powered solutions for menopausal sleep issues and sleep apnea. Its Pod already tracks cardiovascular and respiratory patterns with up to 99% accuracy, and the company is now working toward FDA approval for select use cases.

Its recently launched Hot Flash Mode uses dynamic cooling to alleviate menopause-related discomfort. Upcoming products will target sleep apnea, with interventions enabled by the Pod’s contactless biometric monitoring and real-time adjustments.

Scaling Up Globally

The company is also doubling down on its global ambitions. Already active in markets such as Canada, the UK, EU, Australia, Mexico, and the UAE, Eight Sleep now plans to enter China—a significant move as it seeks to build a truly international presence in the sleep tech space.

From Startup to Sleep Tech Powerhouse

Founded in 2014, Eight Sleep positions itself as the first company to bring “sleep fitness” to the mainstream, blending physiology, technology, and data into its core offering. The company has earned recognition from Fast Company and TIME for its innovations and counts several elite athletes among its user base, including F1 driver Charles Leclerc and American tennis pro Taylor Fritz.

Its core product, the Pod, goes beyond traditional sleep tracking by enabling proactive interventions through real-time adjustments, and now with AI integration, aims to take that to the next level.

Eight Sleep is led by CEO and Co-Founder Matteo Franceschetti and continues to expand its leadership and advisory team as it moves into healthcare applications.

Backed by High-Profile Investors

In addition to its strong sales and product traction, Eight Sleep has built a notable cap table. This round includes repeat backing from Valor Equity Partners and Y Combinator, as well as continued support from Atreides and Founders Fund. HSG also joined as a new investor.

Its blend of tech, wellness, and sports appeal has drawn high-profile supporters beyond traditional venture capital, including prominent figures from Formula 1.
