How AI Is Transforming Field Sales for Top Brands
Amsterdam-based company Dashmote has just raised $6 million in a new funding round. This investment comes from both a US venture firm and a European bank. Since starting in 2015, Dashmote has now raised a total of $14 million. The new funds will help the company develop more features, grow its team, and expand further into the US market where demand for sales tools is rising. One of the key launches planned is DashSalesAI, an AI assistant built specifically for salespeople working in the field.
Bringing AI Support to Field Sales Teams
Traditionally, sales automation has focused on office-based teams. Inside sales reps have access to advanced CRM tools and automation platforms. But field sales reps often still rely on manual processes and face challenges in real-time data access. Dashmote aims to change this by creating an AI tool that acts as a virtual assistant for these reps. DashSalesAI helps with tasks like finding new potential customers and managing existing accounts, all in real-time.
Sammy Abdullah, managing partner at Blossom Street Ventures, says that field sales teams have been underserved by automation. He notes that they are a huge part of global revenue but have not seen the same technological advances. Dashmote is creating a new category of tools that give reps instant intelligence and autonomous support. This could greatly change how deals are found and closed in the field.
Building on Existing Technology to Drive Automation
DashSalesAI is a natural step forward for Dashmote’s platform. Instead of just providing data insights, the AI takes action. It can craft outreach messages, research potential clients, and automatically log meeting notes. This shift from just analyzing data to automating tasks marks a significant evolution for the company.
According to Dennis Tan, Dashmote’s CEO, the AI is designed specifically for the realities of field sales. It understands the daily rhythm of a sales rep’s work, from planning routes in the morning to capturing insights after meetings. Major brands like Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and AB InBev are already testing the new AI tool. Early feedback shows reps using it to find leads nearby, get daily updates, and send personalized messages to prospects.
This investment signals growing interest in sales automation tools, especially in the US. Dashmote’s AI has the potential to make field sales more efficient and data-driven. With fresh funds, the company plans to push innovation even further and enhance its platform to serve more clients and industries.
