Dashmote Lands $6M Series A1 for Sales AI Agent
Amsterdam-based Dashmote has closed a $6 million Series A1 funding round to develop its new AI sales assistant and strengthen its foothold in the American market. The investment was co-led by US venture capital firm Blossom Street Ventures and European financial institution Rabobank, bringing the company’s total funding to $14 million since its founding in 2015.
The fresh capital arrives as Dashmote prepares to launch DashSalesAI, an AI agent designed specifically for field sales professionals. The company plans to use the investment to accelerate product development, expand its team, and push deeper into the US market where demand for sales automation tools continues to grow.
AI Assistant Targets Field Sales Teams
Field sales representatives have long been overlooked by the automation wave that transformed office-based sales roles. While inside sales teams gained access to sophisticated CRM tools and automation platforms, professionals working in the field still rely heavily on manual processes. DashSalesAI aims to change that dynamic by serving as a virtual assistant that handles everything from finding potential customers to managing existing accounts.
“Field sales have been underserved by advances in automation, despite representing one of the largest and most critical revenue engines for global companies. Dashmote is pioneering a new category by arming reps in the field with real-time intelligence and autonomous support, fundamentally changing how deals are sourced and closed.”
Sammy Abdullah, Managing Partner at Blossom Street Ventures
The AI agent works through mobile-friendly platforms like WhatsApp and Dashmote’s location analytics app. Sales reps can receive lead suggestions, client summaries, and conversation starters through simple chat interfaces while they’re on the road. The system pulls from Dashmote’s extensive database covering millions of venues across food delivery platforms, e-commerce sites, social media, and mapping services.
Building on Proven Technology
The new AI agent represents a natural progression for Dashmote’s platform. Rather than simply providing data and insights, DashSalesAI takes action on behalf of sales teams. It can draft outreach messages, research potential clients, and log meeting notes automatically. This shift from analytics to automation marks a significant step in the company’s product evolution.
“Unlike traditional office chatbots, DashSalesAI is built for the realities of field sales. We designed it to understand the rhythm of a rep’s day in the field, from planning morning routes to capturing insights after the last meeting.”
Dennis Tan, Co-founder and CEO of Dashmote
Major brands including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and AB InBev already use Dashmote’s platform and have begun testing the new AI agent. Early adopters report that field representatives use the tool to discover nearby leads in real time, receive daily briefings, and compose messages between meetings. Initial feedback suggests the AI functions like a reliable junior sales assistant that’s always available.
Expanding Beyond Food and Beverage
While Dashmote built its reputation serving food and beverage companies, the new AI agent opens doors to other industries. Medical device sales teams, pharmaceutical representatives, and real estate agents could all benefit from an AI assistant that provides real-time intelligence during face-to-face meetings. The platform’s ability to analyze both physical locations and digital storefronts makes it relevant for companies operating across multiple sales channels.
E-commerce teams are already using Dashmote’s tools to optimize online stores and create location-specific marketing strategies. This versatility positions the company to serve a broad range of businesses that need better visibility into local markets and customer behavior.
Founded by Dennis Tan and his team in Amsterdam, Dashmote started as a data analytics platform focused on helping food and beverage brands understand their market presence. The company gathers information from delivery platforms, mapping services, and social media to help businesses identify growth opportunities and optimize their digital channels.
International Growth and Investor Confidence
Today, Dashmote operates in more than 50 countries with offices in Amsterdam, New York, and Shanghai. The platform serves enterprise clients who need detailed market intelligence to guide their sales and marketing strategies. McKinsey and Google recognized the company’s potential when they named Dashmote the Best B2B Startup in their Digital Top 50 awards.
The Series A1 round brings together investors with deep expertise in both technology and the industries Dashmote serves. Rabobank’s involvement signals strong interest from the financial services sector, particularly given the bank’s focus on food and agriculture businesses. Blossom Street Ventures adds Silicon Valley credibility and connections that should prove valuable as Dashmote expands its US operations.
“With its proven traction and unique data advantage, we see Dashmote as a company positioned to reshape field sales at scale.”
Abdullah from Blossom Street Ventures
The investment comes at a time when companies increasingly seek ways to make their sales teams more efficient. As businesses face pressure to do more with less, tools that automate routine tasks while improving customer engagement become essential. Dashmote’s combination of comprehensive data, mobile-first design, and AI automation addresses these needs directly.
