Huskeys Brings Agentic AI to Edge Security With $8M Seed
Huskeys, an Edge Security Management company, has closed an $8 million seed round to tackle one of enterprise security’s most ignored failures: web application firewalls that nobody wants to touch.
The round includes venture capital firms 10D, SV Angel, toDay Ventures (part of Merlin Ventures), CCL, and Alumni Ventures, alongside cybersecurity angels Ariel Maislos, Michael Dolinsky, Benny Schnaider, Ofer Ben-Noon, Maty Siman, and Slavik Markovich, and more than 30 CISOs from major global companies. The investor group also includes athlete angels Mario Götze, Kelvin Beachum, and Larry Fitzgerald, The Players Fund, a Juventus Football Club venture partner, and Como 1907 stakeholders.
The Problem Nobody Wanted to Touch
Web application firewalls have been part of the security stack since the late 1990s. They were built for a different web. Most traffic came from human users back then. Today it comes from APIs, automated agents, and complex integrations that WAFs were never designed to handle.
“Web traffic has shifted from humans to APIs and now to automated agents, making it harder than ever to distinguish between legitimate and malicious activity. Security teams have essentially given up on making their WAF effective because the trade-off is too high. In almost every call, we hear the same thing: ‘I don’t want to touch it.’ You either block legitimate customers and lose revenue or leave the doors open to modern attacks. It’s a doomsday choice no one should have to make.”

How Huskeys Works
The platform sits on top of existing WAF infrastructure rather than replacing it, working across multi-cloud and multi-WAF environments through a plug-and-play deployment. An agentic AI engine acts as an intelligence control plane, unifying traffic data across CDN, WAF, infrastructure, and application layers into one view. It reads the organization’s environment, analyzes traffic behavior, and continuously adjusts rules and configurations to balance security with business performance.
In one early case, the engine identified overly aggressive vendor-managed rules that were blocking real customers from completing purchases. Precise rule changes eliminated the false positives and the client recovered millions in revenue within hours.
“Huskeys was built to integrate within minutes and deliver value within hours, not weeks. Now teams can stop guessing and turn their WAF from a business blocker into a revenue generator.”

Where the Funding Goes
The seed capital will go toward expanding platform capabilities, deepening integrations with major WAF and CDN providers, and growing both the engineering and go-to-market teams. Huskeys is already working with dozens of companies, including TikTok, Merlin Entertainments, and Hugging Face. This period of investment is focused on converting those early relationships into a repeatable deployment model built for scale.
The Founders
Huskeys was founded in 2025 by Itai Gafni and Roy Weisfeld, both Unit 8200 alumni. Gafni led AI innovation within the unit. Weisfeld spent his career as a security researcher focused on web hacking in hybrid environments. Their founding insight came from directly testing how easy existing solutions were to break.
“We met while working on a mutual project that used AI to enhance web hacking to bypass the most common WAF vendors, and it was shocking how easily we were able to bypass every existing solution. Their effectiveness was essentially zero.”
Roy Weisfeld, CTO & Co-Founder of Huskeys
The company holds a patent-pending technology behind its agentic layer.
