The Mobile-First Company, which builds AI-powered mobile apps for small businesses, has secured $12 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Base10 and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with support from senior operators at several top AI companies.

The company is moving its headquarters to Miami, Florida, as it prepares to expand its team and product offerings.

Software for the ‘Real Economy’

The Mobile-First Company focuses on a specific, often-overlooked market: small teams that run their entire operation from a smartphone.

“Where I come from, entrepreneurship means opening a restaurant, a shop, or a garage. We’re building software for that world — the real economy — not for large corporations with IT departments.”

founder and CEO Jérémy Goillot

The company’s first product, Allô, is a business phone app that uses AI to take notes and update customer relationship management (CRM) software. It is already used by over 5,000 paying companies, demonstrating that small businesses will adopt AI when it is practical and affordable.

From Calls to Invoicing: Expanding the Toolkit

This new capital will be used to expand the company’s product line beyond its initial phone system. The Mobile-First Company plans to launch two new apps, Due and Claim, creating an integrated suite to manage common business problems.

The planned products include:

  • Due: An AI invoicing app to create, send, and reconcile invoices from a phone.
  • Claim: An AI expense management app to capture receipts and prepare reports.

The company plans to hire more than 30 people in Miami and remotely to support this growth, expanding its product and engineering teams in the US and Argentina.

Making AI Practical and Affordable

The Mobile-First Company was founded by CEO Jérémy Goillot, formerly of Spendesk, and CTO Franco Pinto. Their mission is to build simple, fast, AI-native apps for teams on the move.

“Small teams know AI can help, but most tools feel built for big companies or engineers. Allo proved that AI belongs inside the tools people open all day. Calls, invoices, expenses. If Allo is our A, we plan to work through the alphabet of problems that slow teams down.”

This practical approach is already showing results. Sales teams use Allô to sync call outcomes to their CRM without manual entry. Repair shops use an AI agent to answer missed calls and book appointments. Restaurants even use it to confirm guest details by SMS to ensure smooth service.

What Customers Say

Customers report that the focus on simplicity is effective.

“We had been using outdated software for so long that moving to Allo felt like upgrading from Windows 98.” said Bernard, MD of Le Wagon.

“The product is intuitive and self-serve. We started with a few seats and finished with 35 people asking for a license. Everyone got hooked on Allo,” said the owner of Morning Coworking.

Why Investors Are Backing the ‘On-the-Go’ OS

Investors believe the company is filling a clear gap in the market by focusing on the mobile phone as the primary work tool for small businesses.

“The Mobile-First Company is on a mission to empower small teams and SMBs with the tools they need to excel, anytime, anywhere. In today’s fast-paced world, the only constant companion for these professionals is their phone. What sets them apart is their intuitive, AI-driven approach that seamlessly integrates into existing workflows, making it an invisible force that just works. Their customers don’t choose them because they use AI; they choose them because their solutions solve problems and boost productivity effortlessly. The AI is not the selling point, it’s the magic behind the scenes that enables their customers to do more, without even realizing it.” – Antoine Moyroud, Partner, Lightspeed Venture Partners

“Jérémy and his team are building the AI-native operating system for Main Street: software that actually meets small business owners where they are — on their phones, not behind a desk. By turning every call into actionable data and automating everyday workflows, the Mobile-First Company is redefining how SMBs sell, communicate, and grow. We’re thrilled to partner with the team as they build intuitive, powerful software for teams on-the-go.” – Rexhi Dollaku, General Partner, Base10 Partners
