A new AI-powered app aims to help people manage their busy digital lives more easily. By combining calendar, email, messaging, and other sources into one dashboard, it offers a central place to stay organized. The app, called Poppy, uses artificial intelligence to understand what’s important and provide helpful suggestions throughout the day.

How Poppy Works

Users can connect Poppy to various apps like Gmail, Outlook, Apple Calendar, and messaging services such as WhatsApp and iMessage. Once connected, Poppy tracks your activities and uses AI to prioritize tasks and events. It can even monitor your location and suggest breaks or activities based on your schedule and environment.

For example, if Poppy notices you have a free 30-minute window near a park, it might suggest taking a walk to refresh before your next meeting. If a friend mentions a dinner preference in a message, Poppy could recommend suitable restaurants. Users can also ask Poppy questions or give commands, making it feel like a personal assistant working behind the scenes.

The Vision Behind Poppy

The creator, Sai Kambampati, has a background in human-computer interaction and aims to make technology more intuitive and responsive. He believes AI can proactively sense users’ needs and help them manage their day without constant manual input. His previous experience at an AI hardware startup influences his focus on creating smarter, more helpful tools.

At launch, Poppy supports popular apps like Google Calendar, Gmail, Apple Health, and messaging services. It also integrates with ride-sharing and grocery apps. Data privacy is a priority; the company encrypts user data and claims a zero-retention policy when using cloud AI models. Kambampati hopes that in a few years, most of Poppy’s functions will run directly on devices, reducing reliance on servers and enhancing privacy.

The small San Francisco-based team has raised over a million dollars in pre-seed funding, backed by investors interested in AI and productivity tools. As the app develops, the team plans to add more integrations and improve its AI capabilities, making digital organization effortless for users everywhere.

This new AI assistant represents a step toward more intelligent, proactive technology that fits seamlessly into daily routines, reducing distraction and helping people stay on top of their busy schedules.
