AI Finance Surges as Karta AI and Finbursa Expand Automation

Financial services are putting AI to work where complexity costs the most: customer conversations, investment workflows, documents, and deal information. On October 22, 2026, Karta AI announced a $3 million seed round, while Finbursa launched an intelligent front office designed to connect private markets operations through AI agents.
One company is tackling difficult financial service calls at scale. The other is bringing relationships, deals, documents, fundraising, and research into one coordinated system. Together, the announcements show how AI platforms are moving beyond isolated tasks and into the core work of financial firms.
Karta AI Targets the Hardest Customer Conversations
Karta AI, a company building an AI-powered customer communication platform, raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital. Wyser VC, CDM Capital, and Seedstars also participated in the round.
The company will use the funding to support product development, distribution, and expansion. Karta AI already handles around 2 million customer conversations a month across more than 25 languages, giving the platform a large operating base across financial services communication.
Its results in home lending point to the specific problem Karta AI wants to solve. At an unnamed home loan company, Karta AI’s servicing agent resolves around 70% of borrower queries end to end without human intervention, while the company reported an approximately 50% reduction in cost per query.
That focus separates routine support from the harder calls that require information from several systems and more than one answer. Vijaypal Singh, Co-Founder and CEO of Karta AI, described the challenge directly:
“Inbound is where financial institutions carry the most cost and where customers feel the most friction. We built Karta AI to resolve the hard calls, the ones that need several systems and more than one answer, and to bring in a human only when it matters.”
The company’s funding now gives that approach room to grow. Product development, distribution, and expansion will determine how far Karta AI can extend its customer communication platform across financial services.
Finbursa 360 Connects the Private Markets Front Office
Finbursa announced Finbursa 360, an intelligent front office for private markets. Founded in 2024, Finbursa provides an AI-native platform built to run a firm end to end, connecting the operational systems that private markets firms use to manage relationships, deals, investors, and documents.
Finbursa 360 includes five agents and an orchestrator that are live across various functions. Its five live specialized agents cover relationships, deals, due diligence, data rooms, fundraising, and research.
- Investment CRM
- Deal management
- Virtual data room management
- Fundraising campaign management
- Investor onboarding
- Investor reporting
- Portals
The platform uses an orchestrator to coordinate AI agents across the firm’s record. Its AI draws on connected information across the front office, including emails, meetings, deal histories, data room activity, questions, fundraising, investor activity, documents, notes, and news.
That connected record gives the agents a shared view of the work instead of forcing each task into a separate system. Ismail Badereldine, co-founder and CEO of Finbursa, said the value of AI depends on both access to information and permission to act:
“Most private markets firms have spent heavily on AI and say it isn’t delivering yet. AI is only as useful as the information it can access and the actions it is permitted to take. For many firms, that information sits in five or six systems.”
Finbursa’s approach places the AI inside one platform for relationships, deals, and documents, along with the investors, buyers, and advisers a firm works with. Badereldine said the orchestrator sees the full record and acts within one set of permissions and one audit trail, without another layer of technology to pay for or maintain.
Two Paths Toward AI-Run Financial Operations
Karta AI and Finbursa are addressing different pressure points, but both products center on AI that can act across connected financial information. Karta AI handles customer conversations that may require several systems, while Finbursa coordinates agents across the complete private markets front office.
The difference matters because financial work rarely stays inside one narrow task. A borrower’s question may require answers from multiple systems, and an investment workflow may connect emails, meetings, documents, fundraising activity, and investor records. These platforms are built around those links.
“Building or buying an AI layer across those systems is expensive and slow,” Badereldine said. He added that each new feature can mean more integration work, consistent permissions across systems, and maintenance as vendors change their own products.
Finbursa’s platform instead puts those capabilities into one system, while Karta AI’s funding supports the development and distribution of its customer communication platform. Both companies are aiming to reduce the friction created when people and information move between disconnected processes.
Badereldine also framed the opportunity around competition in private markets: “Private markets are growing and getting more competitive: more investors to serve, more deals to manage, and more data and compliance requirements.”
As Karta AI expands its reach and Finbursa develops Finbursa 360, the next stage of financial AI will focus on execution. The most important systems will not only answer questions or organize information; they will connect records, follow permissions, and complete complex work while bringing in people when their judgment matters.
