Drive Health has announced a $15 million strategic investment led by Vitalis Ventures. The funding aims to support the growth of Avery, its AI-powered platform that automates clinical workflows. The investment includes an additional tranche expected to close in early 2026, with Inside Capital Partners joining as a co-investor. This brings Drive Health’s total funding to over $26 million as it prepares for a Series A round next year.

Strategic Partnership and Future Plans

Vitalis Ventures will join Drive Health’s board once the second tranche is complete. Their involvement will bring operational expertise and healthcare system relationships to help scale Avery nationwide. The funding also strengthens Drive Health’s partnership with Google, enabling the platform to expand its capabilities across various health organizations.

This support positions Drive Health to deepen its reach within health systems, managed care organizations, and population health initiatives. The company plans to leverage the investment to grow its clinical team and develop new features, all while maintaining a focus on safety and human oversight.

How Avery Automates Clinical Tasks

Avery acts as a clinical workflow engine designed to handle high-volume communication and coordination tasks that usually take up nursing time. It automates functions like discharge planning, secure messaging, and patient follow-up, all based on hospital-defined rules and safety protocols. The platform drafts clinician-approved patient education materials, gathers symptom data, and routes issues for review if needed.

Importantly, Avery does not diagnose or treat patients independently. Every workflow is overseen by humans, with audit logs and safety checks in place. It supports care episodes such as pregnancy monitoring, chronic disease management, and post-discharge recovery, making processes more efficient without replacing clinicians.

Funding Focuses on Integration and Product Development

The new funding will help Drive Health expand Avery into additional care pathways and improve integrations with electronic health records. The company also plans to grow its clinical team and explore regulatory frameworks for AI-assisted care coordination.

Development efforts will focus on enhancing the platform’s contextual reasoning and expanding language support beyond the current 15 languages. Additionally, the investment will support Drive Health’s participation in Illinois’ Healthy Baby initiative, a maternal health program that uses Google Pixel devices, Fitbit technology, and AT&T connectivity. Avery will deliver reminders, educational content, and symptom checks to over 56,000 families involved in the program, all under clinical oversight.

Built on Google infrastructure with strong clinical governance, Drive Health aims to deliver safe, accessible AI tools that streamline workflows and improve patient care across the country.
