Google Adds New AI Features to Help You Work Smarter and Listen Better

Listen to Your Documents with a Click
One of the coolest new tools is the ability to turn Google Docs into audio files. A new “Listen” menu lets users create spoken versions of their documents, kind of like a podcast. This can be really helpful if you want to listen to your work instead of reading it, or if you want to catch mistakes you might miss when reading.
You can customize the voices and control the playback speed to suit your preferences. The feature was probably inspired by Google’s NotebookLM, which makes audio summaries of long texts. It’s a handy way to multitask or review documents on the go.
Enhanced AI Image and Video Generation for Businesses
Google is expanding the use of its AI-powered image generator called Whisk. Now, businesses in 77 countries using Google AI Ultra can access more advanced features. Whisk creates new images based on uploaded pictures and text descriptions, making it easier for companies to generate visual content quickly.
In addition, Google is doubling the number of images and videos that can be produced with Whisk and its video generator, Flow. Users now get 25,000 credits to create images and videos each month, up from half that amount. This change aims to help businesses produce more visual content without extra hassle or cost.
Smarter Chat and Meeting Tools for Better Collaboration
Google is also upgrading its chat and meeting apps to save users time and make collaboration smoother. In Google Chat, new features now summarize unread messages in chats and private channels, so users don’t have to scroll through endless conversations to catch up.
Google Meet is getting interface updates focused on hardware controls. Instead of searching for buttons during a meeting, users will see single-click options for mute, unmute, and raising their hand. These improvements are designed to help participants stay focused on the meeting instead of fiddling with controls.
The new Meet interface is currently in testing with system administrators before being available to everyone in about six weeks. Admins will be able to decide when to activate these features for their teams, giving companies more control over their rollout plans.
