Google has announced a series of free updates for Android phones set to roll out over the next year. Another new feature, Pause Point, helps users limit their time on distracting apps. Google is expanding Quick Share, its file transfer tool, to work with a wider range of phones beyond Pixel devices, including Samsung and Xiaomi. Android’s collaboration with popular apps like Instagram is also advancing, adding features like on-device editing, background noise removal, ultra HDR video, and night mode. New Features for Android Auto and Emojis

Android Auto, the system that connects smartphones to car displays, is getting a major redesign. The new interface will feature smoother animations, bolder fonts, and wallpapers. Users can add widgets and shortcuts for quick access, and compatible phones will be able to use Gemini Intelligence features while driving.

Video playback in cars will be available only when parked, with audio-only mode active during driving for safety.
