iam8bit Releases Jazzy Persona 30th Anniversary Vinyl Album
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Persona series, iam8bit’s in-house music group, the Blueshift Big Band, has created a special jazz album dedicated to the beloved franchise. The album features reimagined versions of some of the series’ most iconic songs, offering fans a fresh and musical take on their favorite tracks. Pre-orders are now open and will run through June 1, 2026.
Limited Edition Vinyls and Availability
The Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album is available in three different versions. There is a translucent purple vinyl exclusive to FYE, priced at $40. The other two options include a blue butterfly design and a classic black vinyl, both retailing at $32. Fans can purchase these from iam8bit and various other stores. Shipping is expected to begin in the final quarter of 2026, giving fans plenty of time to secure their copies.
All versions of the album contain the same collection of eight jazz-style tracks. These include popular series staples like “Heaven,” “Last Surprise,” and “Aria of the Soul.” The album’s artwork is crafted by award-winning illustrator Mark Borgions, whose signature mid-century aesthetic adds a stylish touch to the release. Fans can stream the full album now on their preferred music platform.
Connection to the Joystick Jazz Series and Persona Celebrations
The album ties into iam8bit’s ongoing Joystick Jazz series, which features jazz covers of classic video game music. Mark Borgions also provides visuals for these albums, which include three full-length records and one EP. The series covers tracks from games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Grim Fandango, and Kingdom Hearts, with the third album focused on Mario.
In addition to iam8bit’s release, Sega and Atlus are celebrating Persona’s milestones with events like pop-up conventions and a big-band concert tour across Asia scheduled for this summer. These celebrations are separate from iam8bit’s project but highlight the series’ enduring popularity. Fans eagerly await the next mainline Persona game, which is still in development, with no official release date. Meanwhile, Persona 4 Revival is also in the works, potentially aiming for a late 2026 or early 2027 launch.
For Persona fans and collectors, iam8bit offers a wide range of vinyl and other video game memorabilia, making it easy for enthusiasts to add new treasures to their collections without waiting. The company continues to celebrate the series’ legacy with unique releases and merchandise tailored for dedicated fans.
