Nauticus Robotics, a leader in autonomous underwater robots and software solutions, has announced a key change in its financial leadership. Jimena Begaries will step into the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) starting July 25, 2025. This move aims to strengthen the company’s financial management as it continues to push forward in the robotics industry.

Experienced Finance Professional Joins Nauticus

Jimena Begaries brings extensive experience in finance and international business. Since April 2025, she has been working with Flexible Consulting LLC, providing strategic financial guidance. Prior to that, she spent over two decades at Weatherford International, handling finance for North America Offshore Operations and overseeing internal reporting processes. Her background includes managing complex financial structures and consolidations, which will be valuable for Nauticus as it navigates rapid industry changes.

Beyond her professional expertise, Jimena is fluent in Spanish and has worked on projects in Argentina and Dubai. Her international experience gives her unique insights that can help Nauticus expand its global reach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Argentina. Her diverse background positions her well to lead Nauticus’s financial team through this exciting phase.

Ensuring a Smooth Leadership Transition

The company’s outgoing Interim CFO, Victoria Hay, will continue to support Nauticus through her consulting firm, Flexible Consulting LLC. This arrangement ensures that the company’s financial operations remain stable during the leadership change. Nauticus’s President and CEO, John Gibson, expressed appreciation for Victoria Hay’s contributions and emphasized the importance of a seamless transition.

Gibson highlighted that bringing Jimena Begaries onboard signals Nauticus’s commitment to strong financial management. He praised her wealth of knowledge and international experience, noting that her leadership will be crucial as the company continues to innovate in autonomous subsea robotics and software. He added that he is pleased to welcome her to the executive team, confident she will help guide Nauticus through its next growth phase.

This appointment marks a significant milestone for Nauticus Robotics as it navigates the complex landscape of finance and technology. With new leadership in place, the company is well-positioned to continue its mission of pioneering underwater robotics innovations. The move reflects Nauticus’s focus on building a resilient and forward-thinking organization ready to tackle future challenges and opportunities in the robotics industry.
