NVIDIA RTX Spark Laptops Bring Local AI to Windows PCs

NVIDIA has announced global availability for RTX Spark laptops, a new class of Windows PCs built around one superchip instead of separate CPU and graphics components. ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI will offer systems starting at $2,599, with configurations varying by region.

The launch lineup includes the ASUS ProArt P14 and P16, Dell XPS 16, HP OmniBook Ultra and OmniBook X 14, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra, and MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI+ and Prestige N16. NVIDIA introduced the platform on October 16, 2026, positioning it for AI developers, researchers, content creators and gamers.

One chip for AI, graphics and creative work

Each RTX Spark system pairs an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with an NVIDIA Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory. The platform uses up to 20 NVIDIA Grace Arm CPU cores, a Blackwell GPU with up to 6,144 CUDA cores, and up to 128GB of LPDDR5x memory running at 9,400 Mbps.

MediaTek collaborated with NVIDIA on the custom CPU design. The result is a system-on-a-chip that brings CPU and GPU resources together, with NVIDIA claiming up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance. NVIDIA also claims RTX Spark is twice as efficient as a laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H and an RTX 5070 dedicated GPU.

The graphics hardware includes fifth-generation Tensor Cores, fourth-generation ray tracing cores and a Blackwell video engine. That engine supports AV1 UHQ and 4:2:2 encoding and decoding, while the systems can edit 8K 4:2:2 video and render large 3D scenes up to 90GB.

“RTX Spark brings the power of NVIDIA AI, RTX graphics and CUDA together with Microsoft Windows in one PC for creating, gaming and running personal AI agents,” Jensen Huang, NVIDIA founder and CEO, said.

Local AI agents and developer tools

RTX Spark supports local AI agents including GitHub Copilot, Hermes, OpenClaw, Perplexity, Pi and WorkBuddy. The platform also supports on-device tools such as Perplexity, along with simplified setup for AI agents like OpenClaw and GitHub Copilot.

NVIDIA’s Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB model contains 74 billion parameters. That gives RTX Spark systems a way to run a large AI model locally, using the laptop’s own processor, graphics hardware and unified memory.

Microsoft and NVIDIA have prepared developer tools for Windows on Arm, including a PyTorch-CUDA build and native Python builds. The platform supports 97% of the top 15,000 Python packages, a figure aimed at developers who need existing software to work on the new hardware.

“Windows PCs powered by RTX Spark unlock powerful new local compute for creators and developers, expanding what they can create, build and run on Windows,” Yusuf Mehdi, executive vice president at Microsoft, said.

Dillon Rolnick, CEO at Nous Research, added, “Personal AI becomes more useful when it can work with your tools and help get things done.”

Gaming and creative applications

RTX Spark laptops include NVIDIA CUDA, DLSS, OptiX, Reflex, G-SYNC, TensorRT and hardware-accelerated video. NVIDIA says the systems will deliver performance similar to RTX 5070 laptops, with a focus on 1440p gaming.

The platform supports Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Gears of War: E-Day, Marvel Rivals, World of Warcraft and NBA 2K27. With DLSS 5 and a new performance mode for DLSS Frame Generation, NVIDIA says RTX Spark can push Cyberpunk 2077 up to 280fps with 6x frame generation.

Adobe is enhancing Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D with NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration for RTX Spark support. NVIDIA Broadcast 2.3 also supports background noise removal and Studio Voice Mic Profiles, adding audio tools to the platform’s creative features.

“By combining NVIDIA’s advanced computing technology with Adobe’s industry-leading creative applications, we’re delivering enhanced experiences that empower creatives to bring their ideas to life with greater power and speed,” Deepa Subramaniam said.

The RTX Spark launch brings AI agents, software development, gaming and content creation into the same Windows laptop platform. Its starting price is $2,599, while memory, processor and graphics configurations will vary by region across the ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI lineup.
