Pigment Bets $250 Million on Autonomous Enterprise Planning

Pigment is raising the stakes for enterprise planning. On October 21, 2026, the AI business planning platform announced a $250 million Series E round at a $2.3 billion valuation, giving its push toward autonomous planning a substantial new bankroll.

The round was led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, with participation from WIL (World Innovation Lab), existing investors Greenoaks, ICONIQ, IVP, and Meritech, plus a planned investment from NVIDIA. Pigment will use the capital to accelerate research and development, expand its engineering team, and grow its presence in new regions.

The timing rests on more than venture-market enthusiasm. Pigment surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue earlier in 2026, doubling year over year; in March 2026, the company said it was approaching that milestone after doubling ARR for a third consecutive year.

From planning software to planning agents

Pigment’s next phase centers on Graphite, its proprietary compute engine, and the AI agents that run on it. Graphite allows thousands of AI agents and people to work simultaneously on a single governed model, scaling to hundreds of billions of data points.

That architecture supports Pigment’s plan to move its agents beyond building models and analyzing data. The company wants them to run planning workflows end to end, turning planning from a sequence of human-managed tasks into an automated operating process.

The company launched agent-focused products in 2026, including intent modeling, an upgraded Analyst Agent, and Custom Agents. The shift is already visible in product usage: 85% of new metrics in Pigment are now created by an Agent.

“Enterprise planning will change more in the next few years than it has in the last thirty. Legacy tools are being left behind, and the world’s most advanced AI companies now run their planning on Pigment. With the backing of our investors, we are moving fast to make autonomous planning a reality for every enterprise. With AI agents running planning workflows end to end and turning decisions into action, companies can respond to change as fast as it happens,” said Eléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli.

A replacement market hiding in plain sight

Pigment’s customer numbers point to a second part of the strategy: replacing older planning systems rather than adding another layer beside them. In 2025, 56% of Pigment’s new customers migrated from a legacy vendor, giving the company a clear route to growth as enterprises reconsider the tools running their planning operations.

Large enterprises using Pigment include Danone, DirecTV, Siemens, Snowflake, ServiceNow, and Unilever. Organizations using Pigment instead of developing their own internal tools include Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and Uber—an audience that spans established companies and AI-native businesses building at a different pace.

L’Oréal is replacing its salary planning tool for more than 95,000 employees globally with Pigment. That deployment places the platform inside a workforce process at a scale where model governance, simultaneous access, and reliable data handling stop being feature-page decoration and become basic requirements.

The funding gives Pigment room to connect those requirements with its autonomous planning ambitions. Graphite supplies the shared model and compute foundation, while the agents handle more of the workflow; the engineering expansion will determine how far that promise travels beyond demos and into daily enterprise decisions.

Pigment now has the revenue growth, customer migration, and product usage to make a larger claim on enterprise planning. The $2.3 billion valuation says investors are buying that claim. The next test is less theatrical: whether companies let agents move from preparing plans to running them.
