Realbotix Names New COO to Drive U.S. Growth

Realbotix Corp., a leader in AI-powered humanoid robots, has announced a key leadership change. Eric Olsen has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer of its U.S. subsidiary, Realbotix LLC, based in Nevada. This move aims to strengthen the company’s operations as it expands its presence in the U.S. market. Alongside this, Matt McMullen will take on the role of Chief Creative Officer to focus on product innovation and design.

Eric Olsen Brings Extensive Experience to the Role

Eric Olsen joins Realbotix with a strong background in robotics, automation, and large-scale organizational management. His recent role was as Director of Customer Success at Agility Robotics, where he helped deploy humanoid robots into industrial and commercial environments worldwide. He was responsible for scaling systems to support the company’s growth and ensuring successful customer deployments.

Before that, Olsen held leadership positions at Toyota Tsusho America, supporting industrial automation projects. His military service in the U.S. Navy, where he retired as a Command Master Chief, gave him experience leading complex operations involving autonomous systems and advanced technologies. His leadership style emphasizes respect, continuous improvement, safety, and customer experience, aligning well with Realbotix’s goals.

Focus on Growth and Market Expansion

In his new role, Olsen will oversee U.S. operations, focusing on improving manufacturing readiness, deploying robots to customers, and scaling the company’s AI and humanoid robotics platforms. His expertise in operational discipline and real-world robotics deployment is expected to accelerate Realbotix’s growth in the U.S. and beyond.

Realbotix’s CEO, Andrew Kiguel, expressed confidence that Olsen’s experience would be instrumental as the company aims to broaden its market reach. The company is also expanding its product lineup and increasing demand for its human-like robots, which combine AI and robotics technology. Olsen’s leadership is seen as a key step to supporting these growth initiatives.

In recognition of his appointment, Realbotix has granted Olsen 300,000 stock options at C$0.33 each. These options vest monthly over three years, starting a month after the grant date, and are valid for five years. This aligns Olsen’s success with the company’s long-term growth.
