How AI Is Transforming Security Data Management

Realm.Security has recently made waves in the cybersecurity world by raising $15 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Jump Capital, with participation from Glasswing Ventures and Accomplice. Based in Boston, the company is developing the industry’s first AI-native Security Data Pipeline Platform. This new approach aims to help organizations better manage the explosion of security data and reduce the high costs tied to traditional security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

Addressing the Challenges of Security Data Overload

Security teams face a tough challenge: processing billions of events every day. Legacy data pipelines just move raw logs around without adding any intelligence. This outdated method leaves analysts overwhelmed and drives costs sky-high. According to a 2025 survey, nearly half of security operations centers dump all incoming data into their SIEMs without a clear plan for management or retrieval. This results in unnecessary expenses and makes it harder for teams to focus on real threats.

Pete Martin, CEO of Realm.Security, points out that security data has become one of the most complex and costly problems in enterprise IT. He believes that building an AI-native Security Data Pipeline can change that. The platform aims to deliver clean, structured data that security teams can trust. It promises to make data processing faster, more efficient, and far more affordable than traditional methods.

Real Results in Record Time

One of the key features of Realm’s platform is its use of artificial intelligence throughout the pipeline. It analyzes data in real-time and filters out irrelevant information. This means security teams only see the data that truly matters. Instead of manually writing rules and constantly reconfiguring systems, the platform uses machine learning and large language models to understand security context automatically.

Deployment times are also a big advantage. Many enterprise customers can get the system up and running in about seven days, compared to months with older solutions. For example, Vensure Employer Solutions, a large benefits and payroll provider with 10,000 employees, cut firewall log volumes by 83% after adopting Realm’s platform. This resulted in annual savings of around $250,000.

Dwayne Smith, Senior Vice President of Information Security at Vensure, says, “Realm’s Data Filtering module allows us to remove data that would never be needed for detection or investigation. It saves us a significant amount of operational budget, which we can then use for other strategic priorities.”

Building the Future of Security Data Management

Realm was founded two years ago by industry veterans who saw a common problem: security budgets are spiraling out of control mainly because of data, not people or tools. CEO Pete Martin brings experience from several leading security companies and is focused on pushing this innovation forward. The company’s goal is to create a platform that makes managing security data smarter, faster, and less costly.

By embedding AI directly into the data pipeline, Realm aims to revolutionize how security teams handle their data. Instead of being overwhelmed by raw logs, teams will have access to structured, relevant information that helps them respond to threats more quickly. This approach could significantly change the cybersecurity landscape, making defenses more effective and budgets more sustainable.
