They also criticize Uber’s app for slowing down ride requests, which cuts into drivers’ daily earnings.

These drivers carried signs saying “Uber: End AI Wages.” They want technology to support workers, not replace or exploit them. They are calling for more transparency about how AI systems decide pay and work conditions. They also want fair processes where workers can challenge AI decisions that affect their jobs.

Neil Martin, a spokesperson for the drivers’ group and a tech justice coordinator at Working Partnerships USA, explained their worries. He said AI is starting to control how much money workers make and how often they get rides. This shift could hurt drivers’ ability to plan their work and earn enough to get by.
