These vehicles will run on Nvidia’s Hyperion Level 4 platform, which allows for safe and reliable autonomous driving. Briski, Nvidia’s VP, says this will create new jobs in manufacturing, vehicle maintenance, fleet management, and customer support. The goal is to expand the fleet far beyond today’s existing robotaxi services.

New Hardware for Industrial and Medical Uses

Nvidia is also launching a new AI computer called IGX Thor, tailored for industrial and medical applications. It uses the latest Blackwell GPU and is built to handle harsh environments with high temperatures and vibrations. Nvidia offers two versions: the integrated IGX T7000, which can be bought directly, and the customizable IGX T5000 for system makers. This hardware aims to give industries powerful, reliable AI tools for their specialized tasks.

As physical AI becomes more integrated into everyday devices, Nvidia’s vision points toward a future where machines can better perceive, reason, and act in the real world. This could lead to smarter factories, safer autonomous vehicles, and more advanced medical devices. While there are concerns about AI replacing jobs, Nvidia emphasizes that this technology will create new roles, especially in manufacturing, system integration, and maintenance.
