Zip Appoints Dallas Stonhaus as New Chief Sales Officer
Zip, the AI-powered platform transforming enterprise procurement, has announced a major leadership change. Dallas Stonhaus has joined the company as Chief Sales Officer. With over 20 years of experience in enterprise sales, he brings a wealth of knowledge to help Zip grow further. His arrival signals the company’s plans to expand rapidly into larger enterprise markets.
Stonhaus Brings Decades of SaaS Sales Experience
Dallas Stonhaus has spent his career at top SaaS companies, including Salesforce and Ironclad. At Salesforce, he worked for 15 years, helping the company grow from a small startup to a global giant with over 70,000 employees. His experience in building enterprise sales teams is extensive. After Salesforce, he became Chief Sales Officer at Ironclad. There, he built the company’s sales organization from scratch and helped grow revenue more than tenfold.
Stonhaus is known for transforming complex, legacy processes into modern solutions. At Ironclad, he helped turn a startup into the leader in contract management. Now, he aims to do the same for Zip, especially in the massive and often outdated procurement space.
Zip’s Growth and Future Plans
Since launching five years ago, Zip has made a big impact. The company has saved customers over $6 billion and handled hundreds of billions in spend. Major companies like T-Mobile, OpenAI, LinkedIn, Snowflake, and John Deere trust Zip’s platform. Recently, Zip was named a Visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Source-to-Pay Suites. It’s the youngest company ever to receive this recognition.
Under Stonhaus’s leadership, Zip plans to ramp up its global sales efforts. The company has already launched over 50 specialized AI agents, showing strong results. For example, OpenAI saves about 1,400 hours annually using Zip’s AI tools. Canva has increased procurement productivity by 250%. The company has more than doubled its staff to over 700 employees and secured $371 million in funding, valuing it at $2.2 billion.
With Stonhaus on board, Zip aims to broaden its reach in the enterprise world. The company’s product combines AI with modern procurement processes. The goal is to dominate this critical, yet often neglected, part of enterprise finance. Stonhaus’s experience will be key to helping Zip scale even faster and win more large clients.
