AI Startups Secure Big Funding to Shape Voice, Robots, and Security

Four startups have just raised major funding rounds to push AI technology forward. Each focuses on a different AI frontier — from voice models to robots and cybersecurity.
Fish Audio leads the pack with $52 million raised in a seed round announced on July 28, 2026. The startup builds advanced AI voice models for creators and enterprises. It offers over 15,000 natural language controls in its library. Since launching last year, Fish Audio’s models have attracted more than 8 million users and generate $21 million in annual recurring revenue.
The company has launched five models in the last year. Four focus on speech generation, and one is for speech-to-text. Its newest S2.1 Pro model is available only through a paid API. Fish Audio has also open-sourced three of its speech-generation models, which have earned over 31,000 stars on GitHub.
Rissa Cao, Fish Audio’s CEO and co-founder, explains the company’s approach: “Every enterprise has different use cases and preferences. For example, HeyGen uses our voices for AI avatars and wants realism. Gaming studios want expressive voices for characters. Voice agent companies want natural, low-latency voices for calls.”
Cao also highlights a quick voice removal feature. Creators can submit voice samples or contracts to remove voices in less than three minutes. This tool responds to growing concerns about voice ownership and consent.
Osuke Honda, partner at Coreline Ventures which led Fish Audio’s seed round, stresses the importance of trust. “A community approach is only durable if creators trust the platform. Consent, transparency, and attribution must be built into the product. The industry needs verified voice ownership, clear licensing, easy reporting, and revenue-sharing models,” he says.
Enigma’s Vision for AI Robots
Just a day before Fish Audio’s announcement, Enigma raised $71 million in a seed round. The founders, Jonathan Jacobi and Gal Niv, met while serving in Israel’s elite Unit 8200. Their startup develops AI robots that perform complex tasks like drawing, sword fighting, and chemistry experiments.
Enigma is running an online experiment with over 100 proprietary AI robots. Jacobi explains the goal: “Manipulating robots should be as intuitive as adjusting a car’s volume knob.” He adds that right now, even the best AI models frustrate users. “If you had to spend 15 minutes explaining where to put dishes, you’d just do it yourself.”
The startup wants to make human-robot interactions effortless. Jacobi says they are learning how people want to interact with robots. “Do we talk to them over text or audio? Do we show videos? Or tap, drag, and drop?” he asks. Their work might shape the future of robotics interfaces.
AegisAI and Passionfroot Join the Wave
AegisAI, a cybersecurity startup, raised $36 million in a Series A round announced on July 23, 2026. Founded by former Google security executives Cy Khormaee and Ryan Luo, AegisAI builds AI agents that scan emails for anomalies and threats. Their technology has already been adopted by dozens of customers including Mesh, LangChain, and Lokker.
Khormaee states, “The core idea of building customized, highly advanced agents that can do investigations will determine who becomes the next dominant security company.” AegisAI has now raised a total of $49 million.
Meanwhile, Passionfroot, a German startup, secured $15 million in Series A funding on July 22, 2026. It operates a marketplace connecting B2B creators with brands. CEO Jen Phan is moving to New York to expand U.S. operations. Over the last year, the company has grown its revenue 13 times and paid at least $10 million to creators on its platform in the last 18 months.
Passionfroot’s clients include ElevenLabs, Figma, Replit, Framer, and Gamma. The startup is carving out a niche that links creators directly with brands, making it easier for both sides to find each other and work together.
These funding rounds show the AI startup scene is booming. Each company tackles different challenges. Fish Audio pushes voice AI. Enigma works on making robots easier to control. AegisAI hunts new email threats. Passionfroot builds creator marketplaces. Together, they highlight the many ways AI is reshaping business and creativity.
