Enterprise AI is moving into a new phase, and the focus is shifting from impressive demonstrations to the systems that help agents work with real business data. Euno has raised $23 million in Series A funding, while RavenDB has launched Quill, a context layer designed to connect AI agents with existing SQL databases under controlled access.
Both developments point toward the same challenge: AI agents need useful context, but companies cannot treat unrestricted access to core systems as a safe default. The race now reaches beyond model performance and into the data, governance, and infrastructure that determine whether an AI initiative can operate in production.
Euno Raises $23 Million to Build Enterprise Context
Euno announced its $23 million Series A on September 9, 2026. N47 led the round, with participation from existing investor 10D and several technology founders and executives. The financing brings Euno’s total funding to $29 million.
The participating founders and executives include Yinon Kostika, Wiz co-founder; Yotam Segev, Cyera co-founder and CEO; Ofir Ehrlich, Eon co-founder and CEO; Rotem Weiss, Tavily founder; and Mark Nelson, former Tableau CEO and president.
Sarah Levy, CEO and co-founder of Euno, founded the company in 2023 with Eyal Firstenberg. Euno operates across the U.S. and Israel and employs nearly 30 people, but that team is set to grow. The company expects to roughly double its workforce by the end of the year.
Euno plans to use the new capital to expand sales and marketing while increasing its investment in AI research. That combination puts the company’s enterprise context platform at the center of its next stage, pairing product development with a larger push into the market.
“Models keep getting better and cheaper, but the long-term AI moat for enterprises will increasingly come from the accumulated record of how work gets done,” Levy said.
That focus arrives as companies face a difficult gap between AI ambition and business results. A Gartner survey found that one in five AI initiatives fail, while only 28% report a positive return on investment. The figures sharpen the pressure on platforms that help enterprises turn AI systems into dependable tools rather than isolated experiments.
Quill Connects AI Agents to SQL Without Migration
RavenDB announced the launch of Quill on September 8, 2026. Quill is a context layer for SQL databases that makes them ready for production AI agents without requiring companies to migrate the system of record.
Quill connects directly to an existing SQL database and supports web chat, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and Discord. That gives organizations a path to place AI agents across familiar communication channels while keeping the underlying data system in place.
The key feature is control. Quill is governed by default and sits between the AI and the source system, restricting what the agent can see based on configuration. It is built on the assumption that the model cannot be trusted with unrestricted access.
That design puts boundaries around the agent before it reaches sensitive business data. Instead of handing an AI system broad access and addressing problems later, Quill places governance between the model and the database from the start.
Quill is available for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL, with more databases to be supported in the future. RavenDB is used by more than 12,000 customers, giving the company an established base for its database-focused approach to AI agents.
Oren Eini, founder and CEO of RavenDB, described the production challenge directly: “Anyone can stand up an AI demo in an afternoon, but getting that demo into production with data pipelines, semantic search, security, governance, all the plumbing a small proof of concept doesn’t need until it has to run at scale, is the hard part.”
The Production Layer Becomes the Main Event
Hagay Albo, CEO at Albos Technologies and Holdings, captured the appeal of ready-made infrastructure in a separate comment: “With Quill, the plumbing was already there, so we spent our time building the actual feature.”
That idea connects the two announcements. Euno is using fresh capital to expand its team, sales and marketing, and AI research around enterprise context. RavenDB is bringing context and governance directly to SQL databases, giving agents a controlled route into systems companies already use.
The next stage of enterprise AI will depend on whether these systems can preserve useful context while enforcing clear limits. Euno’s planned workforce growth and research investment, alongside Quill’s database support and future expansion, show how much attention is moving toward the infrastructure behind the agent.
The models may keep improving, but production success will depend on what surrounds them: reliable context, governed access, and a practical way to connect AI with the records that power enterprise work.
