EY and NVIDIA Collaborate to Accelerate Deployment of Physical AI Solutions
EY is advancing the integration of artificial intelligence into the physical world by developing a comprehensive platform for testing and deploying robotic, drone, and other smart device applications. This initiative includes launching a new EY.ai Lab in Georgia and establishing strategic leadership to guide its physical AI efforts. The platform leverages NVIDIA’s advanced tools, including Omniverse, Isaac, and AI Enterprise software, to help organizations model, test, and manage real-world AI systems more effectively.
Building a Robust Physical AI Ecosystem with NVIDIA Technologies
The platform utilizes NVIDIA Omniverse libraries to create digital twins, enabling companies to simulate and refine their systems before real-world deployment. NVIDIA Isaac provides open-source models and simulation frameworks for designing and validating AI-powered robots in detailed 3D environments. NVIDIA AI Enterprise offers the high-performance computing foundation necessary for executing complex AI workloads in physical settings.
EY emphasizes that the platform focuses on three core areas: AI-ready data through synthetic data generation, digital twins and robotics training for connecting virtual models with physical systems, and responsible AI practices including safety, ethics, and compliance. This comprehensive approach supports sectors such as manufacturing, energy, consumer goods, and healthcare from initial planning stages through ongoing maintenance.
Leadership and Innovation in Physical AI Development
EY has appointed Dr. Youngjun Choi as its Global Physical AI Leader. With nearly 20 years of experience in robotics and AI, Dr. Choi will oversee the organization’s efforts in this domain and help position EY as a key advisor. He previously led the UPS Robotics AI Lab and was a research faculty member at Georgia Tech, focusing on aerial robotics and autonomous systems.
One of his key responsibilities includes managing the newly opened EY.ai Lab in Alpharetta, Georgia—the first dedicated facility for physical AI innovation within EY. EY’s goal is to accelerate the adoption of industrial AI solutions, enabling businesses to transition smoothly from experimentation to large-scale deployment, ultimately transforming operational efficiencies and safety standards.
