HPE Introduces Self-Driving Networks for Enterprises
5Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has launched new autonomous networking features across its Mist and Aruba Central platforms. These updates aim to make networks smarter by allowing them to self-diagnose and fix issues in real time without human help. The goal is to improve network reliability and reduce the workload for IT teams managing large-scale enterprise networks.
Automating Network Management with AI
The latest features from HPE focus on automating key network management tasks. This includes continuous monitoring of network performance, security, and configuration. The system uses advanced AI to analyze data and make adjustments automatically, freeing up IT staff from routine troubleshooting.
One of the key innovations is Dynamic Capacity Optimization. It allows the network to identify capacity bottlenecks and adjust radio settings like band selection and channel bandwidth. This helps maintain strong wireless coverage, especially during peak usage times, ensuring users experience consistent performance.
Enhanced Security and User Experience
HPE has added new security features that automatically detect and fix misconfigured VLANs, reducing downtime and traffic issues. Rogue DHCP protection is also included, which blocks malicious or unauthorized DHCP servers that could disrupt network operations or compromise data security.
Wireless performance is further improved with real-time frequency management. The system learns from channel behavior and takes autonomous actions to prevent disruptions. It also manages user device handoffs smoothly, supporting uninterrupted connectivity for mobile users. Additionally, new metrics provide insights into wireless latency, helping teams diagnose issues faster.
The update expands support for OpenRoaming, making it easier for users to access Wi-Fi seamlessly as they move between locations. It also supports stronger security through identity verification, helping organizations adopt Zero Trust security models more easily.
Finally, HPE introduced its first AI-native dual-platform Wi-Fi access points, starting with the HPE Networking 723H APs. These devices deliver real-time AI telemetry, support hospitality environments, and operate with either Mist or Aruba Central platforms, offering flexible deployment options.
