Lime’s $174 Million IPO Prices Company Near $1.7 Billion Valuation

Lime priced its initial public offering at $25 per share. The deal raised roughly $174 million and valued the company near $1.7 billion before the stock starts trading.
The electric scooter and bike rental service sold about 6.68 million shares in the offering. Existing shareholders, including CEO Wayne Ting, President Joseph Kraus, and co-founder Brad Bao, sold 276,731 shares as part of the deal. The total shares offered reached nearly 7 million, including both new and existing stock.
Trading will begin on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol LIME. The IPO price fell in the middle of the $24 to $26 range, which pegs the company’s valuation between $1.66 billion and $1.8 billion. Lime filed for its listing under the holding company name Neutron Holdings.
Uber remains a major backer with a stake exceeding 10 percent. It also guarantees some of Lime’s debt, signaling a close financial relationship. Founded in 2017, Lime operates in roughly 230 cities across 29 countries, making it one of the largest micromobility players worldwide.
Despite strong revenue, the company is still bleeding cash. Lime booked about $928 million in revenue for the 12 months ending March 31, 2026. Its net loss widened to $59.3 million in 2025, up from $33.9 million the previous year. Growth has costs, especially in a capital-intensive industry where market share matters.
Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan led the underwriting effort. The IPO includes an option allowing underwriters to purchase up to 1,043,478 additional shares. The offering is expected to close on July 2, 2026, right after shares start trading on July 1.
Lime’s IPO marks a key step for a company that has yet to prove it can turn growth into profits. Its valuation is modest for a tech-backed startup, but the micromobility market remains competitive and capital hungry. Investors will watch closely as Lime attempts to justify its price tag in public markets.
