Wonderful’s $5 Billion AI Bet Targets the Enterprise Operating Layer

Wonderful has raised $550 million in a Series C funding round, giving the Netherlands-based enterprise AI company a valuation of $5 billion. The new valuation more than doubles the $2 billion figure it reached when it last raised funding nearly six months ago.

The round was led by Insight Partners, with Salesforce, Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners also taking part. The funding gives Wonderful more capital to build its products, expand its engineering teams, and respond to demand from enterprises using its AI technology.

From customer service agents to an AI operating system

Wonderful was founded in early 2025 and first gained traction with a customer service AI agent platform. The company raised a $100 million Series A in November 2025, then expanded to more than 35 countries and 650 employees after that round.

Its core offering has since moved beyond customer service. Wonderful now describes its platform as Wonderful AI OS, a system designed to coordinate and connect agents, workflows, and AI applications with a company’s data, context, and existing integrations.

The platform works with any AI model and is compatible with existing technology stacks. That approach places the focus on connecting the pieces an enterprise already uses rather than tying the company to one AI model or one set of tools.

For businesses, the goal is to bring separate AI projects into one connected platform. A customer service agent, a workflow, and another AI application can work with the same company data, context, and integrations through the Wonderful AI OS.

Bar Winkler, CEO and co-founder of Wonderful, framed the company’s direction around the role that AI could play across large organizations.

“Just as cloud platforms became the foundation of the modern enterprise, AI operating systems will become the foundation of every enterprise.”

Winkler added: “This funding allows us to help more enterprises make that transition.”

Building and deploying AI for customers

Wonderful does not only offer software. The company deploys engineering teams to work with customers as they deploy and integrate its AI technology, a model that connects the platform with the practical work of putting AI into an organization.

The company said it will use the new funding to develop products faster, expand its FDE teams, and meet demand for its products. Those priorities point to a hands-on expansion plan, with more resources going into both the technology and the teams that help customers use it.

Wonderful also launched Agent Builder in January 2026. The product is an autonomous AI agent that builds, tests, and refines other AI agents, giving the company a tool aimed at creating and improving agents within its broader platform.

That product fits the company’s shift from a single customer service use case toward a wider system for enterprise AI. Instead of focusing only on one department, Wonderful is building tools that can support agents and workflows across an organization.

Jeff Horing of Insight Partners described that wider ambition this way: “Many companies are applying AI to individual departments or use cases. Wonderful is building the operating layer that allows enterprises to scale AI across the entire organisation.”

A fast rise in valuation

The size and timing of the Series C mark a fast financial rise for Wonderful. The company moved from a $2 billion valuation at its last funding round to $5 billion in nearly six months, while growing from its early-2025 launch to 650 employees across more than 35 countries.

That growth has happened as Wonderful expanded its product beyond its original customer service AI agent platform. The company now combines an AI operating system, engineering support for deployments, and Agent Builder, which creates and improves other AI agents.

The $550 million round gives Wonderful room to push all three parts of that strategy. It can develop products faster, add to its FDE teams, and work to meet demand for its AI platform as the company continues its expansion.

Wonderful’s next phase will center on making AI work across existing enterprise systems. Its platform is built to connect agents, workflows, applications, company data, context, and integrations, while supporting any AI model and existing technology stacks.

The company’s message is clear: enterprise AI should not remain limited to separate departmental projects. Wonderful wants its AI OS to serve as the layer that connects those efforts, with the latest funding supporting that goal.
