Google released the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL in 2026, bringing new cameras, displays, processors, and charging options to its phone lineup. The upgrades make the phones more capable, but the design stays close to what Pixel owners already know.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL remain recognisably Google, with the company’s iconic camera bar across the rear. That familiar look will appeal to people who like the Pixel identity, though it also means the new models do not deliver the major visual change some buyers may have expected.
Sam Rutherford summed up the biggest concern in his review: “Google’s latest foldable sports some welcome upgrades, but its lack of a major design change is disappointing.” The new phones add useful hardware, but the overall approach is refinement rather than a complete redesign.
A familiar design with one new feature
The biggest design addition is called HiLight. The feature is basically borrowed from Nothing, the Android phone maker, and gives the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL one of the few clear changes to their exterior experience.
Google has focused more attention on the screens. The Pixel 11 Pro has a 6.3in LTPO OLED Super Actua display, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL uses a 6.8in panel. Both screens reach a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, up from 3,000 nits, which Google says makes them 9 per cent brighter than before.
That extra brightness should help when using either phone outdoors. Google describes the change this way: “Peak brightness has increased a touch from 3,000 to 3,600 nits, allowing for even better outdoor visibility.” The company also says the new anti-scratch coating promises more than twice the scratch resistance.
More camera reach and new internal hardware
The Pixel 11 Pro uses a triple-camera system with a 50MP main camera, a new 48MP telephoto lens, and a 42MP ultrawide selfie camera. The main camera now has a 1/1.3in sensor, while the telephoto lens can zoom up to 120x.
Those numbers give the Pro model a broad camera setup, especially for distant subjects and wide selfies. The new telephoto lens is one of the clearest hardware changes in the Pixel 11 Pro, while the larger main sensor adds another upgrade to the camera system.
Both the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL run on Google’s new Tensor G6 processor and Titan M3 security coprocessor. They launch with Android 17 and will receive seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, giving buyers a long support window for the phones.
The Pixel 11 uses the same Tensor G6 processor as the Pro models and includes 12GB of RAM. It has a 6.3in screen, a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide, a 10.8MP telephoto, and a 10.5MP selfie camera.
Battery sizes, charging speeds, and prices
The Pixel 11 Pro XL has a 5,115mAh battery, compared with 4,850mAh in the Pixel 11 Pro. Charging also separates the two models: the Pro can reach 55 per cent in around 30 minutes with a 30W charger, while the Pro XL can reach 75 per cent in the same time with a 45W charger.
The standard Pixel 11 has a 4,985mAh battery rated to last more than 30 hours on a single charge. It supports wired fast charging and Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging at up to 25W, giving it a charging feature also found in the wider Pixel 11 release.
Price differences across the range are substantial. The Pixel 11 starts at £879 for 256GB of storage and £999 for 512GB. The Pixel 11 Pro starts at £1,079 for 256GB, £1,199 for 512GB, and £1,429 for 1TB.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at £1,279 for 256GB, £1,399 for 512GB, and £1,629 for 1TB. That makes the larger model the most expensive option, but it also offers the biggest screen, the larger battery, and faster charging.
Sky Mobile launch deals
Sky Mobile’s pre-order deals start at £25 per month for the Pixel 11 on a 36-month contract, with a 5GB data plan costing £12 per month. The Pixel 11 Pro costs £30 per month with a 5GB data plan, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL costs £38 per month with the same data plan.
Sky Mobile also offers enhanced trade-in bonuses of £100 with the Pixel 11, £200 with the Pixel 11 Pro, and £300 with the Pixel 11 Pro XL. The limited-time launch deal runs until September 1, 2026.
Google’s Pixel 11 range adds brighter screens, new camera hardware, Tensor G6 performance, and long-term software support. The biggest question is whether those upgrades are enough to outweigh the familiar design, especially for buyers who already own a recent Pixel phone.
