Samsung’s New Freestyle+ Projector and Smart Glasses Unveiled

Samsung just launched the Freestyle+ projector for $1,200. It upgrades the second-gen Freestyle, which ran $800 from Samsung and $798 on Amazon. The Freestyle+ projects up to 100 inches at 1080p resolution and supports HDR10+.
The real kicker? It automatically adjusts image size and angle. Samsung says, “It can automatically flatten images projected on irregular surfaces, even corners.” That includes curtains with fold marks and patterned wallpaper. Wall Calibration tweaks color and brightness to match the projection surface, ensuring clear viewing on colored or textured walls.
Connectivity covers both Galaxy and Apple devices. The projector’s 3D Auto Keystone correction is updated for faster, sharper alignment. This is no basic throw-it-on-the-wall gadget. Samsung aims for flexible, quality projection in odd spaces.
Meanwhile, the 55-inch Samsung Frame art TV is on sale for $697.99 at Amazon — roughly $200 off its usual price. The 2025 model packs a 4K QLED panel, a 144Hz refresh rate with variable refresh, and HDR10 Plus support. The Frame runs through a single cable to a One Connect box. That box includes four HDMI ports, two USB-A ports, coaxial, Ethernet, and optical audio.
Samsung faces competition from Xgimi’s Elfin projector line expansion. The original Elfin Flip Plus had 500 ISO lumens brightness. Xgimi’s new Elfin Flip Laser model costs $799, offers 1,600 ISO lumens, and uses a triple laser light source. It maxes out at 1080p. The Elfin Flip 4K jumps to $999 with 1,600 ISO lumens and true 4K resolution. Both models fold for easy storage and angle adjustment.
Samsung’s smart glasses are still on the horizon, expected to launch in autumn 2026 with pre-orders soon after. Designed by Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, these glasses run Android XR. They come with dual front-facing cameras and include microphones and speakers.
The camera is a 12MP Sony IMX681 sensor. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chipset powers the device. Battery capacity is 155mAh, and the glasses weigh about 50 grams. Two frame styles will be available: Gentle Monster’s rounded design with tinted lenses, and Warby Parker’s black frame with clear lenses.
Samsung’s smart glasses price is expected between £350 and £450. That puts them above Meta’s recent £299 smart glasses launch. Meta’s lineup includes models designed by Kylie Jenner and others, showing the market heating up.
Samsung’s tech push spans from home entertainment to wearable AR. The Freestyle+ projector targets flexible, high-quality projection in unconventional spaces. The Frame TV sale offers a solid upgrade on a popular art TV. And smart glasses aim to join the battle for AR dominance with stylish designs and competitive specs.
We’ll see if Samsung’s hardware can carve out space amid strong competition. For now, the Freestyle+ projector and upcoming glasses show Samsung doubling down on versatile, connected products.
