AI Assistants Move From Phones to Networks and Workflows

A relationship manager has landed on Android, while new AI agents are taking on calls, business tasks, and entire workflows. Mesh, Google, Wix, and SpaceXAI are all pushing software toward a future where technology does more than wait for instructions.

The most personal launch is Mesh, Automattic’s CRM app, which became available on Android devices on August 12, 2026. At the same time, Google announced the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5, Wix introduced Symphony, and SpaceXAI opened Grok Bot to beta users.

Mesh Brings Personal CRM to Android

Mesh helps users privately visualize and track the people in their personal and professional networks. Users can add notes to contact information, then receive reminders about when to reach out. Automattic, the parent company of WordPress.com, acquired Mesh, which was co-founded by Zachary Hamed and Matthew Achariam.

The Android release supports split-screen and pop-up views, keyboard shortcuts for foldables and tablets, in-app search, home screen widgets, and real-time sync across devices. Mesh and Beeper also interoperate to some extent, allowing Mesh users to draft texts to Beeper contacts and visit profiles through deep links.

Why build a tool for relationship management? Mesh co-founder Zachary Hamed describes the challenge this way: “We have users who have ten-, twenty-, or fifty-thousand connections across multiple social media apps, across their work products. It’s an impossible task to think and be conscientious with you, with each of those people.”

Mesh’s sweet spot is executives with larger teams or tight networks, according to co-founder Matthew Achariam. The app’s business use is already clear: 70% of Mesh’s customers use it for some type of business purpose.

Mesh stores personal information without sharing it or using it for ad targeting. The service supports subscriptions and remains free for up to 1,000 contacts, giving users a way to organize a network without turning their contact data into an advertising asset.

The next step is AI. Mesh’s Nexus AI is in early access, helping users navigate networks, answer questions about contacts, and use voice-based hands-free experiences. Mesh’s broader plans include more AI features aimed at improving productivity while people manage personal relationships.

Google Turns Pixel Into an AI Action Center

Google announced the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 on August 12, 2026. The Pixel 11 family brings fewer hardware changes than earlier generations but adds Gemini features for transcription, live translation, and camera frame capture.

For users in the United States, Gemini can order groceries, book rides, get coffee, and call businesses on their behalf. Users can review transcripts of AI-operated calls, take over a task, or stop it at any time. Connected apps including Granola, Otter.ai, Wix, Fever, Get Your Guide, Localiza, OpenTable, Ticketmaster, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Angi, Thumbtack, and Zocdoc will work with Gemini.

Magic Cue now pulls information from across apps to suggest dinner spots or shows, while Rambler, a dictation product, is making its way to Pixel phones. Pixel 11 can translate videos, podcasts, and voice messages into the target language, and Circle to Search is available directly inside the camera app.

Google is also using Gemini to translate sign language into text. Magic Capture selects the best frames from videos, then auto-crops and unblurs them. Users can create custom camera looks with specialized filters, shoot 8K video with improved stability, and use upgraded super zoom that reaches 120x on Pro phones and 30x on the base Pixel 11.

Pro phones add Instant Night Sight, which takes 4.5 times less time, while Tensor G6 brings 20% better power efficiency and 25% faster browsing across Pixel 11 devices. The processor also enables faster low-light photos with Night Sight Instant. New image signal processing supports 120x zoom on the Pixel 11 Pro XL and brings 32% more light to its telephoto sensor.

Pixel Watch 5 adds a smarter Gemini experience and advanced health monitoring. It starts at $399 for the 41mm version and $429 for the 44mm version, with preorders and shipping beginning August 20.

The watch supports blood pressure pattern tracking, insulin resistance monitoring, and personalized health insights. Google’s Health Guardian suite uses sensors and machine learning trained on more than 1 billion minutes of data from over 500,000 people, with testing against 24-hour blood pressure monitors.

Its insulin resistance feature studies sleep, heart rate, and activity signals to identify long-term changes, then provides monthly summaries of blood pressure and insulin resistance trends. The watch can also detect drops in oxygen saturation and contact emergency services if needed, with that feature launching first in select European countries.

Sleep-stage tracking is 15% more accurate, Smart Wake supports better sleep timing, and sleep breathing quality metrics add another health signal. GPS route tracking is twice as accurate as previous models. The Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 platform delivers 12% more CPU performance, 50% more RAM, and a 20% faster overall experience, while battery life reaches up to 40 hours.

AI Agents Start Taking Over Business Work

Wix launched Symphony by Wix on August 11, 2026, as a standalone AI agent platform for small and medium-sized businesses. Symphony learns how each business works, builds a team of specialized AI agents, and automates workflows across existing tools.

Its central agent, Maestro, understands business operations and coordinates the other agents. Those agents execute tasks, connect to existing tools, provide updates, and flag actions for approval. Owners can review progress and approve decisions through a simple app, while a quality-review layer checks accuracy and trust.

Symphony agents regroup each day in a “morning meeting” that summarizes work and surfaces opportunities. The platform is platform-agnostic, so it supports businesses using Wix or another platform. Symphony uses a tiered subscription model and started rolling out on August 11, 2026.

“We built Symphony to be the go-to AI agent orchestrator for SMBs,” said Ronny Elkayam, COO of Wix.

SpaceXAI is taking a similar idea into workplace software with Grok Bot. Introduced on August 11, 2026, Grok Bot is an AI agent service that can sign into apps, tools, and websites to perform workplace tasks. It works independently through its own cloud-based environment and can sign into user accounts.

Within SpaceXAI, Grok Bot can handle sales outreach, marketing, office operations, bug fixes, and more. Users message Grok Bot like a colleague and assign work without building workflows. Multiple Grok Bots can run in parallel, communicate with each other, and share context.

Grok Bots can learn workflows, follow up on conversations, and become more proactive over time. The service enters beta on August 12, 2026, for certain subscription tiers on desktop and iOS, while enterprise users can join a waitlist.

Across Mesh, Pixel, Symphony, and Grok Bot, the direction is clear: AI is moving into the spaces where people manage relationships, devices, health, and daily work. An event is scheduled for October 13–15, 2026, in San Francisco, and by then these tools may offer an even clearer look at how personal assistants and business agents fit into everyday life.
