Medallion has acquired Andros. The transaction makes Medallion the largest AI-native credentialing platform in the country, bringing more than a million providers across nearly 400 healthcare organizations and health plans onto one platform.
Medallion announced the acquisition on September 15, 2026. Andros is an NCQA-certified credentials verification organization that has credentialed providers for health plans, health systems, provider groups, and telehealth companies since 2013.
Andros describes its platform as fully NCQA-certified, with the strictest level of NCQA certification available. Its technology automates primary source verification through data-matching algorithms, replacing a process known for turning healthcare administration into a prolonged scavenger hunt.
Automation Reaches the Credentialing Workflow
Andros begins each process when it receives data from a client through an API, batch upload, or provider-filed application. The platform checks the information, issues alerts when required data is missing, and flags problems involving malpractice, licensure, or sanctions.
When the system cannot resolve a discrepancy, credentialing professionals contact providers and facilities at least three times. That combination of automated checks and human follow-up gives clients a process that still handles exceptions instead of pretending every record arrives clean and complete.
Two out of three Andros application processes require no provider input and take about 20 minutes to complete. The platform also enables credentialing workflows up to 10 times faster than industry averages, a claim that makes the acquisition less about adding another database and more about expanding a working operating system for provider verification.
After credentialing, clients receive provider profiles that cover specialty, languages, malpractice information, and credentialing status. Those profiles give healthcare organizations and health plans a consolidated view of the information needed to assess provider records.
A Larger Credentialing Network
Andros verifies data from more than 8 million providers and performs 300,000 credentials annually. It has also built more than 200 networks in all 50 states, giving Medallion a credentialing operation with national coverage and a substantial existing workload.
Andros brings more than 30 years of combined experience to the deal. Its record includes credentialing work for health plans, health systems, provider groups, and telehealth companies, while its platform supports the verification and profile creation that follow each application.
The acquisition places those capabilities alongside Medallion’s existing platform and extends one credentialing system across more than a million providers and nearly 400 healthcare organizations and health plans. That scale matters because credentialing is not a one-time administrative box to check; organizations must verify provider information, identify unresolved issues, and maintain usable records across their networks.
Medallion now combines Andros’s NCQA-certified verification processes, national network experience, and automation with the reach of a larger AI-native credentialing platform. The result is a single platform built around data matching, exception alerts, professional follow-up, and provider profiles — which is less glamorous than an AI demo, but far more useful when the paperwork actually has to be right.
