AI Startups Secure Millions to Capitalize on Search and Monetization

Promptwatch just raised €6 million to scale its AI search optimization platform. The company hit €2 million in annual recurring revenue within a year of launching in April 2025. That’s no small feat for a seed-stage startup.

Founded by Gijs de Groot and Klaas Foppen in 2025, Promptwatch is betting on the exploding global GEO market. Valued at $848 million in 2025, this sector is projected to balloon to nearly $20 billion by 2034. Meanwhile, AI referral traffic surged 527 percent in early 2025, signaling a clear demand for smarter search solutions.

Seed + Speed Ventures led the round, joined by Blum Ventures and Arches Capital. The funding will accelerate Promptwatch’s expansion, aiming to keep brands visible amid the chaos of AI-driven search engines.

Elsewhere, Monorale opened a £4 million Series A round after rapid growth to 40,000 users in just eight months. Founded in September 2025 by Alex Wilkinson, Monorale tackles AI fragmentation by creating a unified environment for managing diverse AI models. Early traction values the startup at around £13 million.

Priceva, a price intelligence platform founded in 2016, rolled out dashboard updates this month. New features include analytics on out-of-stock durations, bulk editing, and cross-reference tables. These tools target retailers needing sharper control over product data.

Velocity raised $27 million in seed funding led by NFX and Red Dot Capital Partners. CEO Tal Shoham calls AI the dominant software interface and sees massive opportunity in monetization and distribution. Velocity’s platform integrates native advertising into AI conversations without killing engagement or retention.

Investors like Gigi Levy-Weiss and Atad Peled praise Velocity’s focus on AI-native infrastructure. “Every major technology transition creates new infrastructure categories,” Levy-Weiss said. Peled points to the founders’ track record building global software platforms as a key advantage.

Clients confirm Velocity’s impact. Diego Díaz from Leadtech / MAU calls them responsive and collaborative. Artsiom Turavets, Lead Product Manager at AIBY, highlights strong monetization with maintained user experience.

Meanwhile, Payscout announced a strategic alliance with Pronto Connects to improve communication and customer engagement solutions. This move reflects a broader trend of AI startups seeking to integrate their offerings with established payment and communication platforms.
