Anthropic’s Reflect dashboard forces you to face your Claude use

Anthropic just rolled out Reflect, a new dashboard that tracks your Claude chatbot usage. It doesn’t just tally your chats. It nudges you to rethink how you use Claude.

Reflect landed in beta on July 9, 2026, and is tucked inside Claude’s settings for Free, Pro, and Max users with memory enabled. The feature offers a tidy summary of your habits—key topics, busiest day, peak hour, and total chats. You can review your data over one, three, six, or twelve months.

Most headlines call it “Claude Wrapped,” but Anthropic aims higher. The dashboard borrows from digital wellbeing tools like Apple’s Screen Time. You can set quiet hours or schedule reminders to take breaks. It even asks, “What’s one thing you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude could do it faster?” Then Reflect offers to discuss it with Claude.

The dashboard organizes your behavior into four categories: delegation, description, discernment, and diligence. It suggests ways to improve efficiency, like starting a Project to avoid re-explaining the same background or building custom fact-checking skills. One example: Reflect helped create a template that makes Claude cite sources and flag its confidence.

Reflect respects privacy. It ignores incognito chats and excludes data from connected tools or health integrations. Sensitive topics appear only at a high level. Anthropic developed Reflect alongside the MIT Media Lab, Boston Children’s Hospital’s Digital Wellness Lab, and the Family Online Safety Institute.

Ryn Linthicum, Anthropic’s head of wellbeing policy, said, “We were really intentional about building [the dashboard] with an eye toward how we can upskill people’s usage of Claude, not in a way that encourages them to spend more time with it, but instead enables them to get more efficient at meeting their goals, and hopefully get off of Claude or preserve the things that they want to think about.”

Support for Claude Cowork and mobile platforms is coming soon. The dashboard does not yet track total time spent but plans to add that later. Reflect is designed to help users get smarter about how they interact with AI—not to keep them hooked.

This feature emerged from a study where users expressed mixed feelings about AI tools. They showed both optimism and anxiety about Claude’s role in their lives. Reflect aims to address that tension by promoting mindful usage.

In short, Reflect forces you to confront your Claude habits. It offers data and gentle pushes to use AI deliberately—whether that means cutting back or upgrading your skills. Anthropic isn’t selling more screen time. They want you to get more from Claude, then get on with your day.
