Meta’s New Smart Glasses Line Leans Into Style and AI

Meta just dropped a new batch of smart glasses. They’re designed with AI tech and a serious style upgrade.
The lineup includes three models: Fury, Adventurer, and a special edition co-designed with Kylie Jenner. The Fury and Adventurer start at $299. The Kylie edition costs $399, $100 more than the others.
Meta teamed up with EssilorLuxottica for this release. The glasses sit on the same hardware platform as Meta’s best-selling AI glasses. The company boasts they’ve “really expanded the style, the colorways and materials.”
The Kylie glasses lean heavily into Y2K vibes. They sport a slim oval shape, a small gem on the top right of the right lens, and a metal nose bridge designed to wipe makeup residue. The package includes a case with a mirror and a handwritten note from Jenner herself.
All models support a wide range of prescriptions, from -12 to +2.25, and multiple lens types including shaded, polarized, and Transition lenses. They come in 26 styles and color combos overall.
Hardware specs include a 12MP camera capable of 3K video, six microphones arranged in a multi-array setup, and spatial audio. Battery life runs over eight hours, with the case adding about 40 more hours of charge.
The glasses also bring software perks. A new AI companion app will launch with the Muse Spark AI update. Features include dynamic photos, pedestrian navigation, and live translation in 14 languages—Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Hindi among them.
Meta sells these glasses through Meta.com, Lenscrafters, Sunglass Hut, Best Buy, Amazon, and others. They’re even considering a future model without cameras, focusing on audio only.
Meta’s VP of wearables, Alex Himel, says they aimed for a lower price point to attract more users. EssilorLuxottica’s portfolio includes cheaper brands, but none with strong recognition. The Kylie collaboration helps bridge that gap.
While Apple’s smart glasses are still years away, expected in 2027, Meta is pushing hard now. They’re building on years of work with EssilorLuxottica, from Facebook Stories glasses in 2021 to the Ray-Ban Display glasses with a full-color screen.
Meta’s approach blends hardware competence with design flair. They’re not just tech gadgets; they’re fashion statements with AI smarts baked in. Whether that’s enough to carve market share remains to be seen.
