Rundoo’s $30 Million Bet on AI for Independent Supply Stores

Rundoo has raised $30 million in Series B funding as it builds an AI-first platform for independent supply stores. Battery Ventures led the round, with existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners and CRV also taking part.

The new investment brings Rundoo’s total funding to $48 million. The company serves over 500 stores across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, giving its platform a presence across three regions where independent supply stores operate.

Rundoo says the funding will help it expand its platform. Its focus is AI-powered tools built for independent supply stores, a market that sits inside a large hardware industry but has its own software needs.

A large market for store technology

The U.S. hardware store industry is worth roughly $45 billion. That figure shows the size of the business Rundoo is serving, even though the company’s current store network includes locations beyond the United States.

Hardware stores depend on the systems that support their day-to-day operations, and Rundoo is positioning AI as a central part of those tools. The company’s platform is designed for independent supply stores, giving the business a clear focus as it grows its customer base.

Rundoo’s current reach includes over 500 stores in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. That footprint gives the company a base for expanding its platform while serving a customer group represented across multiple markets.

Software spending is expected to keep growing

The market for hardware store software was valued at roughly $11 billion in 2025. It is expected to reach roughly $20 billion by 2033, with growth of about 8% per year.

That market forecast places Rundoo’s funding round within a software category expected to grow over the next several years. The gap between the $11 billion value in 2025 and the projected $20 billion value in 2033 points to a larger market for companies building tools for hardware stores.

Rundoo’s Series B gives it more capital as that market expands. Battery Ventures led the investment, while Bessemer Venture Partners and CRV returned as existing investors, bringing continued backing from both current and new funding partners.

The company’s total funding now stands at $48 million, including the new $30 million round. For Rundoo, the next stage centers on expanding an AI-powered platform already used by over 500 independent supply stores.

The funding announcement came on August 20, 2026. It adds a new financing milestone to Rundoo’s effort to build AI tools for a store segment connected to a $45 billion U.S. hardware industry and a global hardware software market projected to reach roughly $20 billion by 2033.
