Apple’s New TV 4K Turns the Big Screen Into a Siri Hub

Apple is bringing Siri AI, a faster chip, and hands-free voice control to its biggest-screen experience. The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K arrives with an A19 chip, built-in far-field microphones, and a $299 price tag that puts a powerful new focus on the television.

Apple announced the new Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026, and opened pre-orders the same day. Stores will begin carrying the device on November 13, 2026, giving buyers a month to decide whether Siri AI and the new hardware justify the cost.

Siri AI Moves Onto the Television

The headline feature is Siri AI, which arrives on Apple TV 4K as a beta in tvOS 27.2. The experience brings Siri AI to the television as a full-screen conversational interface, creating a new way to interact with the streaming box through voice.

Built-in far-field microphones allow the device to hear voice requests without requiring users to hold the remote. Siri AI launches in English in the U.S., Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the UK.

That language and country rollout gives the new Apple TV 4K a clear starting point, while the beta label signals that Siri AI remains part of an active software release. The feature sits at the center of Apple’s new television hardware, supported by the A19 chip and tvOS 27.2.

A19 Power and a Full Set of Connections

The A19 chip gives the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and up to 2x faster GPU performance than the previous generation. Those gains arrive alongside 128GB of storage, creating more room inside a streaming device built around Siri AI and new hardware capabilities.

The device supports Wi-Fi 7, also known as 802.11be, along with Bluetooth 6 and Thread networking. Its connections also include HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, and an IR receiver, while a built-in power supply completes the hardware design.

Apple is also expanding the sound system around the box. The new Apple TV 4K supports pairing with up to four second-gen HomePods or HomePod Mini 2s for surround sound, giving owners the option to build a setup with up to four compatible speakers.

The Remote Gets Easier to Find

The remote receives a small but useful hardware change: a built-in speaker that helps locate it. Owners can find the remote through Siri and Find My, with support for Bluetooth channel sounding adding to the locating system.

That feature gives the remote a stronger connection to the wider Apple TV 4K experience. Siri AI handles conversational control on the television, while Siri and Find My help recover the remote when it disappears between uses.

The new device also marks a long-pending upgrade. Apple TV 4K hardware is not updated as often as other Apple hardware, and this fourth-generation model arrives four years after the Apple TV 4K launched in 2022.

The price is $299, which is more than twice the price at which the prior-generation Apple TV 4K debuted and $50 more than the current top-of-the-line model, which is being discontinued. That makes the new A19 performance, 128GB of storage, Siri AI, and built-in microphones central to the value question.

Pre-orders are open from October 13, 2026, and the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K reaches stores on November 13. With Siri AI arriving as a beta, faster graphics and processing, surround sound support, and a remote that can call for help, Apple is turning its streaming box into a more capable control point for the television experience.
