Yoto has unveiled two new audio devices for kids, and both arrive with hardware changes designed to make listening more flexible. The fourth-generation Yoto Player and updated Yoto Mini are now available for pre-order, with shipments scheduled for September and October 2026.
The larger player keeps its identity as a speaker with a pixel display, but Yoto has reshaped how children reach their favorite audio. A big green dial lets kids twist into their “most loved audio,” opening access to up to 20 pieces of content, including podcasts, stories, and songs. That feature does not require Yoto Cards, giving the device another path to audio.
A Bigger Dial and More Room for Audio
The green dial is one of the clearest changes in the Yoto Player 4th gen. It is built around quick access, so children can reach selected content without relying on Yoto Cards. Yoto has also upgraded the software, making routines easier to create and access.
The hardware redesign focuses on being “easy for little hands.” Inside, the player gets a faster processor, more memory, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 6.1. Storage has doubled to 64GB, giving the device room for a larger audio library.
Yoto has added a full-panel night light with seven colours, plus the ability to create personalised routines. The player also supports USB-C and wireless charging, while its battery lasts for up to 14 hours.
That mix of physical controls, software routines, and expanded storage gives the Player 4th gen a clear new direction: keep the simple speaker format, then add more ways to make regular listening fit a child’s routine.
The Mini Gets Tougher and More Portable
The Yoto Mini 4th gen takes the same internal upgrades as the larger player and puts them into a smaller portable audio device. Its design is rugged, water-resistant, and dust-resistant, with an IP67 splash- and dust-resistant rating.
Storage is another major part of the update. The Mini has enough room for “1,000 hours of audio,” while the listed figures describe capacity for more than 1,000 hours of audio. It also works with both wired and Bluetooth headphones, giving children two ways to listen without using the speaker.
The updated Mini comes with a new wrist lanyard, adding another piece to its portable design. Its battery life reaches up to 12 hours, according to the listed device figures.
There is a clear price change attached to the Mini. Its price is going up to $110 from $80, while the Yoto Mini 4th gen costs £89.99.
Pre-Orders Open With September and October Shipping
Pre-orders for both devices opened on September 10, 2026. The Yoto Mini 4th gen is available to pre-order now, with estimated dispatch from September 30, 2026, and shipments scheduled to go out on September 30.
The Yoto Player 4th gen is also available for pre-order now, but its arrival comes later. Shipments are scheduled to go out on October 15, 2026, and the player costs £119.99.
